Yeah Richard...it can be frustrating trying to figure computer things out. I find using my phone much easier than a PC....as the phone already has the picture on it.
Big Mike....
No more cartoons for me! I'm now watching Jonny quest.

Re: Rear Oil leak in my 682
I don't know of a dipstick on the cast rear ends. I think you're right about the plug in the rear cover plate. That would be your check...and your fill. I don't believe the "bucking" would be due to slightly low on fluid but I guess it's possible. I think I have mostly heard of the bucking...

This is the thread that keeps on giving. Lol. Wow .. Tom you even leave it plugged in? Your not kidding when you say it's ready to go. Lol. Mine looks rough inside but still has some paint. Steve I would be fearful if the bed liner gets a small chip...it would start to peel with the cleaner solution...

Cool Ken! I'm just thinking.... what were these used in? I guess the "generator base"
means a gen set for electric generation. Other uses.... Lawnmower? Washing machine? Farm uses? Looks like a clutch pedal sticking out the side?

Oh man ...that stinks! When you said it hasn't leaked since you parked it...i was thinking the check valves. But then I zoomed in on your first picture and I see the edges of the check valves. The look pretty dry to me. Others please chime in if I'm missing something. So based on that I'm thinking i...

Yeah same Mike. Only I have switched it up a bit now that battery power is soo nice. Used to use compressed air....then I got a plug in leaf blower for a lot more volume. I was happy using that old black and Decker for a couple years, then one day some nice red battery tools started making there way...

Wow... what 5-6 inches of rain will do to grass! :o My summer was amazing, only having to mow about once a month... literally! My grass was pretty burned out all summer and when I would go out on the monthly mow it was just for high spots. Well...a couple weeks ago a storm named Debbie actually brou...

Looks like the waiting paid off! Very nice RED rig! Cant wait to see it with the mower deck. Maybe you can refresh my memory....or people in the crowd can, would that be a 44 A or 44 C deck on there? Im thinking a C but maybe without the front gauge wheels? I personally like the front wheels im not ...

Sorry Ron....I don't even know where to begin on this. Sounds like you need to start reinstalling some of the safety switches one at a time. Most times they are a good thing and work properly. It's when people do all kinds of rework that gets people into trouble like you are in now. If a switch fail...

Re: Series I or II?
That looks like it has potential...but! I personally don't like gears. They are too slow or too fast. I'm not in the market to know current prices but Im thinking $400 for that running and driving... without too many issues. Any steering, clutch, carb or mower deck bearings, you will be into it for ...

Re: Series I or II?
Not real familiar with the 1806. If you are open to the yellow then the 1810, 11, 12 would be a great option. The 10 being manual lift, 11 being hydraulic lift, and 1812 being the holy Grail with hydraulic lift and remote ports on the front for a snow plow power angle. 1812 is super rare. 1811 is ve...

"too ridgid". Looks like a balloon tire for a moon rover or an ATV on the beach.
Ken have you been hiding this gem of a tractor from us?? I don't remember this in your lineup. The rear axle and seat looks super interesting....how about the rest?

Richard...Just to clarify. I don't believe any kt's 1 or 2 have an oil filter. From what I understand the 2s have a distinct cover plate where the newer magnum s would have a filter. Front lower right hand side. I'm just guessing... but with a good flashlight you should probably be able to look in t...

Re: Series I or II?
The 682s are a nice basic tractor. Hopefully it works out for you. The thing I have learned over the years with garden tractors is that the engines get changed out quite often.... because it's so easy. And the probability goes even higher the older a tractor gets. That being said I'm not familiar wi...

Oh yeah you are right about that Kevin !! I was obsessed with lawnboys for a while. I think I had 4 at one time ...and boxes of parts. Here you go Ken.....find one of these to match your new tractor. I would definitely be interested if I found one.
