Re: FEL paid for itself today.
Big Mike, i'm really loving this loader! I don't know how i ever lived my cub life without one. i think i see the matching back hoe in my near future. logs are seasoned several years. the fella i'm getting the wood from used to have a wood fired boiler and it rusted out to the point of no-fixing. he...

FEL paid for itself today.
Howdy folks, went and picked up some firewood this morning and the loader sure was a big help. Instead of having to wrestle very large chunks onto the trailer by hand, the loader and a chain saved my back. i definately don't regret getting the loader on a tractor. P1010050.JPG P1010051.JPG P1010052.JPG hey cubbers, in the last couple of days i fabbed up the bash and skid plate to protect the pump, and built an extention frame for the weights that came with the loader. the bash plate is 1/4 inch c-channel with a rectangular tube bumper and the skid plate is 3...

Re: Starting loader project on 2072
Dag, it wasn't made specifically for a 100. it is one model fits all, with modifications of course for each tractor. if you look up PF Engineerings web site, you'll see the same loader on just about every brand of garden tractor and even some sub-compacts. i have the complete set of plans that you c...

P1010046.JPG hey all, after 3 hose replacements and 2 fitting failures, the loader is working. i mounted the home-built reservoir on the right stantion and incorporated the control valves on part of the mounting bracket. the reservoir vent i made out of a 1-1/4 inch pipe coupling and plug. i drille...

cholloway, yes, eventually i will build a heavier front end. i actually have a heavy-duty boat trailer axle to steel the spindles and hubs off of. right now i am pondering building a new reservoir. because of the mounting placement i had to employ for the stantions, everything is in the way of pipin...

Re: Starting loader project on 2072
Dave, the guy that built the loader, Jim Land, painted the pump along with the tag on it so i don't even know what the pump brand is. therefore i cannot check the specs. :( i looked at running the pump from some other means via behind the hydro pump, but i have rear pto driven there and the drivesha...

Many years ago i installed a u-joint on a 123 that i built for my daughter to use at plow days. we took the 123 to many plow days and worked it hard, never hurt it! it is on the engine end of the driveshaft too. i custom built the mounting cup. i just looked it today while taking a break from a load...

Dave, keep up the good work! That's one heck of a project ! But i know you will figure it out. One of these days, i'm going to have to pull the bull gear from my 1945 16 inch south bend lathe and repair the missing teeth so i can machine larger diameters again. i have no idea when those teeth broke ...

progress on loader
I spent last night finishing the station support system and today I fabbed up the pump mount. The loader is a PF Engineering loader. it was built by a young man as a college welding project and originally set up for a cc100. Jim Land built this in the 90's and after getting graded on it, i aquired i...

super lift cylinder rebuild
Howdy folks, lately and apparently for some time, the lift cylinder on my 2072 has been losing oil through the rod seals. I've been working the super pretty hard lately with the belly grader blade and 442 tiller so it's had a few long hours of work. tonight after work i took the cylinder out of the ...

Re: Farm work day.
The wood used on the barn to fill in where the 1/2 lap siding was rotted came from crates that Aaron's dad i believe salvaged except for the 4x8 on the right corner. The 4x8 was placed to provide extra rigidity where the recycled original post in the corner had been cut and scabbed onto and to help ...
