I have a concrete driveway and have to use a blade to finish cleaning off the snow. If I dont, the snow turns to ice over night and becomes VERY difficult to remove for some time.

Well, while the engine was still apart, I looked inside and did not find anything out of the ordinary. Put it back together and check timing as to what Matt listed. I couldn't believe how far off the timing was off from the timing mark verses measuring the gap!! Matt, thank you, it works great now. ...

When my 1782 did the same thing I was stumped. I took the head off to adjust the valves, while checking cyl. pressure, and one cly. had none. Here one valve for some reason was stuck. I barely tapped it, it loosened, and it has ran since. Just a possibility?
