Never saw this before

Yesterday while widening the driveway the scraper bar on the blade got loose. It turns out the nuts holding the bar on were ground away. This other bar will have to do for now, the one that I took off is too far gone. DSCN9349.JPG Today while continuing with the project all of a sudden the lift hand...

Re: Winter Snow and Storm Pics

What a difference a week makes. We have gone from a deep freeze to a full thaw in a matter of only several days. The Maple sap is running and the sugaring buckets are up all along our road. But if it turns colder again that can shut back off with no notice. While the majority of the Maples tapped ar...

Re: Best use for a 147?

Yes, as Joe mentions converting over to the chrome manual lift should not present much of a problem and the spring assist would help a lot. I'm not much of a fan of those E lifts, even the ones with the later internal clutch override. A hydro lift would make the chore a breeze but those do seem to b...

Re: Best use for a 147?

Dave, I did not mount the thrower on the 126 this year and the little 102 is filling that void just fine for the most part. The 126 will be getting an engine change out this Spring being the reason, it's getting tired and I don't want so smash anything. The qa42a does have some advantages over the q...

Yes Joe, it's a very common issue around here with lots of folks having drives just as bad as mine or worse. Boatloads of money can solve a lot of issues. I'd love to have the drive paved but it's a shared right of way with two other households and they would never sign on for that. The plow truck l...

One size fits all adjustable is the only way to go. DSCN8843.JPG It is nothing mere than a length of 1/2" black pipe with bungs welded in place. The bug advantage with this it's possible to push DOWN on your blade without the rod bowing out.I have plenty of those. If you want to get real fancy a rig...

We are having fun today. I told those guys to get out here last week before the refreeze. But the driver could not get through because of the 200 year old Elm tree blocking the road. Anyway we were down to 1/8 of a tank and I called back. Get here. This was the result. Actually, the driver did a sup...

Dave your wish is granted. Thanks to Phil the ground hog. I have had about nine inches of medium powder fall with more to come so it would seem. Re: Rear tires 6x12

That is a nice price. Also, the Tru Powers at Millers come in at half the price of the Firestone reproductions. Those are made in USA too.
The ones Paul show may be off shore at that price but then again so are the Town and Country reproductions.

Re: Cadet 71

Well, a complete rebuild kit would be the smart choice I think but firstly you have to be positive about what you have there. A K161 or a K181? Check to be sure that 161 is not really a 181. That is a very easy mistake to make when reading the tag. Second, we need someone far better versed with thes...

I know very little about these small bore engines but from what I understand there is a difference in the piston pop up heights between the 2 7/8" and 2 15/16" bore engines. The correct beam length connecting rod must be used if I recall correctly. So base your parts research accordingly when replac...
