Nice little 86 Paul. I don't know what it is about the 86 but I like them. Mine gets out several times during the mowing season because its just a comfortable little mowing tractor.

Hey Jess look! Paul bought a couple zigzags! I know you're jealous ....... Nice looking group of Cubs Paul. I recently acquired a 102 from Timmy D. Picked it up at AWs. Does your 102 have the straight clutch/brake pedal?

It looks to me like the frame has been cut/modified in the engine area. Have you looked at that area very closely?

Jess..........I had it running Tuesday evening before it came off the trailer ( on old gas) and it runs pretty good. Once I get the champion plugs out of it and some fresh gas in it I think it will run even better. AJ........Yellow and white Cubs are safe, I think this 582 only has a temporary home ...

The previous owners grandson hit a tree pretty hard. Broke the cast front on both sides where it bolts to the frame.

I got a call from a woman last week who had a Cub Cadet that she was going to scrap. I now own a red 82 series..........
As you can see it needs a little tlc but the price was right.

Re: Tire loading question
Have you ever seen a tire go flat all the way to the ground? It doesn't just come off the bead. About two weeks ago vandals cut the fence to the bus lot at the local high school. The valves were removed from the stems on the front tires of 28 buses. A large majority of the 22.5" radial tires unseat...

That's good to hear AW. I spent a little time with a twin today too. Finally pulled the M18 out of the Wheel Horse 418C. Looks like a interesting design. Maybe someday I'll have one.

Loadstar
I had a chance to play with a mid 70's Loadstar today. We had a cleanup day at our church this morning and one of the members brought this in to haul away brush. loadstar 2.jpg loadstar 1.jpg Reminded me of my uncles mid 60's Loadstar that I drove back in the day. The uncles Loadstar had a 304 V8 wi...

Re: original style front tires
I had a chance to run up to Dayton, Ohio to Tires Unlimited and pick up a pair of the Vredestein V40 tires.
Left tire is bare tire, middle is mounted. Not as close a match as I was hoping but at $19.95 each they will be good for a worker/plower.

Re: Cub Cadet Kohler k-301 Broken Crankshaft
Levi, I had the same problem about a year ago with a crank out of my 1650. After the remaining threads were machined off and the crank was center drilled and tapped it is fine and ready for many more years of service. Just follow Timmy D's advice and your crank will be fine.

Paul,
I found the radiator on Ebay out of Pipestone, Mn. Came with gasket and the shipping was free. Will prolly put it on later this week if the temps go up as predicted. If I remember I will take pics.

Re: New toys for Christmas
Hey Mayor! I got a new radiator for my F Cub! Yes Paul it is a Clancy And I got a IH Farmall hoodie too.
I think the Dewalt impact will come in handy putting the F Cub back together. The weather guesser says we could have temps in the upper 40's by the end of the week so I may get some shop time.

New toys for Christmas
Hi all! I hope that Christmas day was a good one for everyone.
I got a new 3/8 impact. That should help spin the bolts/nuts on a cub.
What did everybody else get?
