Re: 1650 Tire Question

I used to have a 1650 with lugs on all 4 corners... however,
I was told the "non-traction" front tires should be reversed.
I dunno. I didn't like the way it looked.

Check the compression. Sounds like it could be a leaking head gasket.

Speaking of plastic parts... is anyone familiar with a product called Plast-Aid?
Check out this introduction video on youtube.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IkTSpmS1zXY

I've never used it but, it looks pretty amazing.
Can be ordered online and not expensive.

If fairly recent, he didn't just take care of it... he babied it!
Since they're photos of snapshots (from film) I'm leaning towards some time ago.

Re: Greetings from Upstate NY

Welcome to the forum Nate. However, she has agreed that when she goes back to work I can get a new tractor, probably a compact with a loader and bucket. There's nothing wrong with that plan but, why wait a couple of years? I've got a buddy on another forum whose wife is working all the overtime she ...

I think that may be the Caution sticker giving instructions on the proper way to jump start
the tractor with cables.
That sticker is on the underside of that cover/pan on my CC's.
No biggee.

Re: New Guy, 108 Rebuild

The engine is a 272ci. I'm not sure it was the original engine or not.
I believe FORD used the 292 Y-Block engine in the '55 T-Bird.
With the 4 bbl carb it would have been designated as a 182 HP "Power Pack".

Re: New Guy, 108 Rebuild

Mike, the Southern Cub Cadet Gang was something started by longtime member Jim Steele (jswordy) who lives in Tenn. He had a bunch of these buttons made up and if you attended a show in his area where he was displaying his Cub, he'd give you a button and you would become a member of "the gang". This ...

BW Stevenson... "Buck Wheat". I haven't thought of him in years. A bit of trivia. He recorded a song called "Shambala" which did OK but did not burn up the charts. A short while later 3 Dog Night released the song and it went to #1. BW and his co-writer (I forget his name) re-wrote the lyrics to Sha...
