Re: Cub Cadet 44A Mower Question

Don’t think the A decks ever came with wheels. The C decks did. IH did offer a weld on wheel kit. Yours does not have that kit. The set up you have is a previous owner mod. The IH kit looks like this

Re: 129 Carb Gaskets ?

The big rubber band looking one is the float bowl gasket. Yes, the two smaller round gaskets ate for the bowl bolt and the seat for the needle valve. They are a solid paper like material, not rubber. Instructions should be included. If not, download the repair manual for your tractor or the Kohler e...

Re: mowing deck

A 44 and a 44A are basically the same. If it is on a 128 it’s probably a 44. I think the A started with the Quietlines. From what I have seen the Gator blades for that style deck have been discontinued.

Re: pto belt

All of those decks are virtually the same. The 44 came first and was used on wide frames like your 129. The 44A was used on the Quietlines. The 44C was for the X82 and up series. It has a 5/8" center pulley as that series has a larger pulley on the PTO. As far as the 1/2" belt on the 38" mower I don...

Re: pto belt

Go to the Cub parts lookup and bring up 129. Go to attachments and look up 44" 3 blade deck. The only PTO belt they list is IH-59971-C1. It's #14 under the hitch submenu. This would be if the stock center pulley is still in place. If it has a speed up pulley then all bets are off. Cub Cadet belts ar...

That number you posted is for a noise suppression muffler. You have to make sure you have that system on the tractor. The rest of the system is different from the standard muffler. The standard muffler is a IH-393840-R91 and available a lot of places.

Re: New Guy, 108 Rebuild

Both springs. One on top of the other. Looks like you had a puller on it. Might want to consider replacing the center button if it didn't come with the kit. That hole will probably eat up the fiber button on the actuator lever.

Re: New Guy, 108 Rebuild

There should be 6 set screws. One flat tip and one pointed tip in each hole. The other part you found is the lock collar for the bearing. It locks the bearing the crank. The other set screw lock the PTO to the bearing. PTO info is available in the repair manual for the tractor here: http://ccmanuals...

Re: 109 revival

If your deck was on a 1250 then it should be a 44A. The C decks had a 5/8" top pulley and were used on the 82 series tractors. Or someone could have changed out the pulley. If the top pulley is 3/8" the it will work on the 109.

Re: 1650 -broken cooling fan/iso mounts?

They are probably worn due to engine movement from the bad ISO's. I'd replace them while you're at it. Don't loose the little brass shims. That's how you adjust the snubbers.

Those fans like to walk on the shaft and hit things. After I get the fan in position I put a couple wraps of electrical tape on the shaft before and after the fan. Helps keep it where it belongs.
