Re: 107-147 white Paint
Dave, so far, I have been working exclusively on IH-produced narrow frames, and have a few wide frames waiting in the wings and/or for parts.dag1450 wrote:... Maybe u could clarify what year or models for that yellow u were talking about ? Thanks for the tip. Dave

Re: 107-147 white Paint
My method for painting with rattle cans is: 1. primer (usually grey) 2. two coats of ivory/almond of any brand 3. last coat in CC colour from the dealership. If the part is not really seen, I don't even bother. The rattle cans from the CC dealer are very expensive here, so the above method works wel...

Re: 122/147 hybrid project
I proceeded to finish installing the clutch completely, to make sure there would be no issues. (It's easy enough to remove at this point if it gets in the way.) Well, I ran into a glitch: When I fitted the clutch without securing the (rear) shaft collar (but with the engine bolted in), everything wa...

That might be a good choice; wish it started at 0 instead of 8; price seems very reasonable.
I'll have to look into the difference in wiring (if any) if I go the volt indicator route...

Re: Amp gauge
Hey all, This seemed like an appropriate older thread to post my question... I'd like to test an old charge indicator (a.k.a. amp meter, volt meter, ammeter) out of the tractor to see if it's any good to use on a tractor in the future. Is there a way to do this with simple tools? The old part I have...

Re: 122/147 hybrid project
Thanks for the tip guys; it's on my to-do list to play around with that bracket some more, but with the engine in and the clutch assembly held at both ends of the shaft. I'll then see if one of the four possible positions of that bracket (it has a pair of mounting holes on each side) will work. The ...

Re: 122/147 hybrid project
Thanks for the pic Dave, and thanks for the observation, Jess. I'm noticing that in Dave's pic, that would locate the yoke a fair bit higher than in my pic... Well, I guess I will have to: - fit the clutch with the engine, and see if by luck the clutch arm will line up with that heavy-duty bracket (...

Re: 122/147 hybrid project
IMGP4847.JPG As you can see, I started test-fitting the clutch assembly without the engine. I haven't done anything to the bracket that holds the clutch lever; I just cleaned it up and painted it. It looks cockeyed, but that's how it came off the 122. Does it look 'normal'? Also, why does that heav...

Well... I finally have something to show... (We did do a major house reno in 2013...) As you can see, this will be pretty much an all-white tractor.
