Thanks Lew; I will take another look.
The parts diagram refers to IH-384898-R1 "Strip, Grille Panel Clamp", which appeared to be clamps that hold the grill into the housing...
I don't have the blue block-out panel either, so I will have to rig something up...
Thanks again,

122 front grill clamps/hold-downs
Hi all, I searched the forum and the web, and came up empty handed on this one... The parts manual isn't helping me either. I have the front grill housing of a 122, and want to build a grill for it. I cannot figure out what held the original (missing) grill (and I have no other 122 to look at). The ...

Wow...
You must be able to pull a huge rotary mower with that, and cut grass in record time !
Looking forward to pulling videos.

Re: Can't find Hydro oil leak
Thanks for the heads-up JMech! I put a very tiny bead of silicone so that only the outside edge of the cork gasket would come into contact with it. (I put the bead on the transmission casing; into the 'machined corner'.) I put the silicone in such a way to minimize squeezing into the oil passage and...

I agree, but I and many people I know will never participate in Facebook. Just something about it that turns me off, and I don't need to think about it any more than that. I have some friends that have cancelled their Facebook. Yeah, I wish we had more activity, but I still enjoy the posts we do ge...

Re: Can't find Hydro oil leak
I wouldn't put two gaskets in. Chances are one will slip or be pushed out and cause a leak. Well, I put two cork gaskets before I had a chance to read this... I torqued the bolts to 35 ft/lbs instead of 30. I put some gasket maker silicone at the bottom (where the three holes are), where the...

Re: Can't find Hydro oil leak
Update : I cleaned the pump assembly thoroughly. With the pump facing up, I removed it. The cork gasket was whole, and paper thin . Everything else looks so good, that I am going to replace that cork gasket only and see how it goes. Has anyone thought of putting two cork gaskets...? It's one of tho...

Like the fender idea; I did the same with single axle fenders. I purchased them, but haven't fitted them yet.

Re: Can't find Hydro oil leak
OK, well; I am finally back at this older problem for me on my 125... That tractor got me into the hobby, and my need of a diagnosis for a transmission problem led me to this site's trunion repair thread... Repaired the trunion in-tractor (not the easiest on a narrow frame...), got everything else d...

Re: 125 Speed Control Lever & Generator Questions
... Any tips or tricks to removing the speed control lever? It looks like there used to be a set screw that is gone. I thought it should just pull off, but pulling and then prying with a screwdriver ( then checking to make sure that set screw was definitely not in there again) and then 2 screwdrive...

Re: 125 Speed Control Lever & Generator Questions
This hobby, like many other older motorized equipment, often requires three machines: one that will run, and two for parts... New Old Stock (NOS) parts are available, but generally pricey. A forum member is likely to give you a better deal if they have what you need.

Re: 125 Front PTO
Hmmm... If you want to shorten the duration of your project, buy a used/reman clutch ($$). Otherwise, seems like your clutch needs a complete rebuild. Removing a clutch from its shaft and disassembling it is often not easy... Requires good penetrant, patience, and heat. I prefer to remove the clutch...

Re: 1450 governor came loose
I echo Tom Scott's sentiment... You can also consider a mi-90's 2000 Series Cub; probably about $1.5K with 500-700 hours; decent machines when maintained; they seem to be readily available in the 2nd hand market. I feel for ya; I'm fixing up a 2nd mower this year, and will likely keep two machines o...

Re: Problems setting timing on a 14 hp Kohler
That would not help if the cam is worn. When the cam lobe wears it actually allows the points to start closing earlier. I did find a repair that seems like would work. A vendor on this site offers a push pin with a larger head, similar to what a common nail looks like. I still would need to disasse...

Mr. Zuck,
Perhaps machining (cutting) a longer pin than stock from raw materials with the same diameter might be an alternate solution?
Someone else with more experience might be able to chime in with how many thousand's of an inch...
