10 lbs.pressure is still more than you should need ,I never check mine I just push on the tread area and make sure they're about the same keep them so they're a little soft so they'll conform to the ground...turf tires always work better when running chains

try reversing the lines to the oil filter I had an engine out and hooked them up backwards and had the same problem

try wiggling the key while it's running ,also try wiggling the wire plug on the switch, might be due for a new plug and switch

they don't use any clamp, the shaft will slide back and forth about 1/4" to 5/16" till the ends of the shaft touch the frame, you could use spacers of some sort to take up some of the end play.or weld on the ends of the shaft to lengthen it .[might take a few tries to get the length right so the but...

vince i had a 1200 that drove me nuts ended up being the ign.switch ,it would put power to the regulator but when i'd start it it would loose connection and not let power come back through it

ken hook your ohmmeter to the kill wire and start unhooking wire plugs to see what is grounding it ,i'd start with the safety switches under the seat if i remember right the left one is the one that shuts it off if the clutch is'nt pressed down,i also had one that had a bad ground from the battery t...

ken if it's working properly you won't get voltage to the run wire,it should be grounded with key off,open [no ground]with key on...don't put power to the coil on any magneto ign.system or you'll burn the coil up.if you unhook the connector at the engine that eliminates the whole wiring harness if s...

ken you have to remove the spider gear pin so the axles will move in enough to let the clips come off

ken those have a ball roller bearing in them ,unless it's gotten water in it and pitted the brg.it should be fine

i was thinking that all of the 36a and 42a throwers had 4 paddles and the [non a] series used 2 paddles.i used a qa42a on a 1450 for a few years and it worked great i could go through drifts that were higher than the thrower ,i would have to stop and back up once in a while to clean up the snow that...

did you check fuel flow out of the fuel line and the settlement bowl ,if the screen is plugged up you won't get enough fuel

every engine i've ever had apart from a quiet line had no balance gears in them ,they must have figured the rubber mounts would absorb the vibration..the bigger hp.engines always vibrate more 1650's are the worst.i did put a new short block in a 1650 about 12 yrs.ago that had balance gears and it ra...

ken if you use a test light the - side of the coil [points side]when you crank it over the test light should blink [when points are closed light will go out if points are making contact]if light does'nt blink the points are'nt making contact and need cleaned or replaced...dale

i need a wiring diagram to trouble shoot a pto problem,it engages when i hold the switch and stays in till i'm mowing ,i've replaced all safety switches and pto switch and relay with known good ones from another tractor that works fine,i'm thinking there is a broken wire somewhere that loses connect...

i think they were available with either but they steer easier with narrow ones and seem to wear tierod ends less
