The only thing you may run into is the length of the drag link. It may not be the right length but you may be able to use the one from the wide frame.

AG tires
Guys,
Does anyone have a set of 23-10.50-12 Cheng Shin brand AG tires? I'd like to see a pic of what they look like if anyone does. I have searched online and all
I can find are generic photos. I need a pic of an actual tire in that size.

Re: Why is this website so dead???
I know there were several dedicated GT pulling forums and Yahoo groups that used to get a lot of traffic three to four years ago. Now they are completely dead. And I mean no new posts for weeks at a time. But there are several pulling groups on Facebook that get 20 or more new posts each day. I actu...

Re: Finally found an Onan for the 982
Like I do with the Kohlers, I would tear it apart and measure everything. Try to find some specs or a manual. They will have wear tolerances on all the wear parts. If the bore ans pistons are within tolerances, just hone and replace the rings. But if it has too much wear, is too far out of round, or...

Re: Why is this website so dead???
It is interesting to note how prices have changed. It seems like some Cub stuff has dropped in price with the economy, but some of the rarer stuff has steadily increased in price. I see the prices on some stuff and it makes me glad I was able to accumilate what I have back when stuff was cheaper. I ...

I think a lot of people are going to facebook. I'm thinking about starting a FB page that will link to this site.
There are a bunch of FB groups on Cub Cadets but none that I really like.
I think we really took a hit when the Registry
went down and never got lot of people back.

Wide frames had a hole in the frame to access the bottom screw. Some of the narrow frames had a notch. I have always had good luck with a screw starter on them. http://www.amazon.com/dp/B000COBUQW/ref=asc_df_B000COBUQW2579466?smid=APQ9FS529W6H5&tag=sdcbing602-20&linkCode=asn&creative=395105&creative...

I don't think they are very rare. I have seen them before. I believe the decal is the same one used on the steering wheel center cap on many of the farm tractors.

I have seen a few of them plowing at plow days, and I know of a lot that plow snow, and never heard of one breaking. Just keep in mind that the drive belt is a wear item, so keep a spare on hand.

Well said Paul. First off, a collection only has worth if you are willing to sell it. If you plan on keeping things forever, don't even worry about value. It also depends on what you want to do with it. In my opinion, diesels shouldn't be show queens. So if it will be a working tractor, you will cer...

I'm into guns but I don't go on any forums. I haven't had much time for shooting and reloading the last few years.
I did just buy a gun safe last fall and have been doing some bb gun shooting in the back yard.

They were made for the 82 series with the 5/8" pulley. To put them on the older wide frames the center pulley needs changed.

Timing could be off or it could be carboned up creating hot spots that cause the fuel to pre-ignite.

Re: What OIL for MODEL 129 with Kohler Engine ???
I run the Rotella SAE 30 in my 882 diesel with some STP since it is high in zinc. I didn't realize it did have zinc already. I won't put the STP in air cooled Kohlers because Kohler strongly recommends against any additives. I'll see what I can find out about the Lucas at work. Valvoline does make a...

The onans are known for governor problems. I had a 982 that I fooled with for quite a while and never did get it working to my satasfaction even using the Onan manual. So I traded it for my diesel and never looked back. I have heard rumors that there is something internal with the governor that goes...

Re: What OIL for MODEL 129 with Kohler Engine ???
I haven't done much research on it, but I'm wondering if the modern 30 wt oils still have zinc in them. All modern car engines have roller tappets and don't need the zinc. But flat tappets
in our Kohlers and other older engines do. They have taken to zinc out because of some emission issues.

Re: Now It's an AWOL Coiled Pin Spring on 782D Driveshaft
Bryan, I'm pretty sure I took the whole driveshaft out of mine without moving the engine or trans. I think if you drive both pins out of the rear couplers, the whole thing can slide forward on the shaft. Then unbolt the rag joint at the front. You may also have to drive the pin out at the front. You...

Charlie, The filter is made by Wix. It doesn't have any indicator of when it needs changed. I assume you will know somehow, but I haven't run into it yet. Re: Rear PTO, tiller and 1862
I think you may run into some problems since the fenders sit higher on the Super. I assume the Reugg setup is a copy of the factory Super GT setup rather than a copy of the standard gt setup that others sell. The Super hitch is physically taller than the gt one. I believe the Super frame has notches...
