After you get the big snap ring out from the front then the whole mess comes out all at once. There is an O-ring in there which is why it does not wanna move easily

Re: 325 / 374 mower deck spindles

Definitly very nice work. I am currently in the middle of a complete resto of a 374 deck.... having 2 to work with trying to find enough good parts. From what i can see i find nothing major wrong with any of my 6 spindles. although the upper and lower bearing cups seem to be the piece that takes the...

Re: 82 series replacement ignition switch

So after some research i did find that the switch from a cyclops as joe said will work. same pinout. Also aftermarket replacements for those are readily available. Still not sure why they show the replacement for the 2072 type switch as not having the right pinout.

Has anyone found a suitable replacement switch for the 82 series besides OEM.
When u punch in the part number 725-3086 you get alot of hits ebay etc but the pinouts are not correct on any of them.

Re: 1862 with 46 deck lifting issues

Ok so i got mad enough and took the deck off to get a closer look at things.... and i think i found the issue... the "scissor" arm im gonna call it has been broke and welded.... i think at the wrong angle... also the subframe itself is bent in the back.

1862 with 46 deck lifting issues

Ok this 1862 is killing me! it came with a 321 46 inch deck that had NO lift at all... so i determined that deck was for a later 1862 after 821xxx. OK fine so i traded joe for a 336 46 inch deck and undercarriage. Yea this all looks better. get it installed and i get a tiny bit of lift.... so i move...

Why is it almost impossible? I have a Cast Iron rear in my 882 which i did with no problem. and I am currently working on Building a 1772 with a Cast iron rear out of a 982. The only thing i am not sure is how the rear pto will interfere with the tank. Is there something else i am unaware of?

Im definitly not an expert on welding by any means... but having brazed a little aluminum id say it not where near clean enough.... this type of welding isnt like welding steel..... a stick welder will blow through rust paint etc. This type of welding must be spotless. Maybe some JB weld would do th...
