2182 pictures please
I need pictures of a 2182 air cleaner assembly mounted on top of the Kabota engine . I've got a friend that's missing one and also the mounting brackets and hoses . I'm trying to locate parts for them and would appreciate pictures from both sides of engine . I have checked the 2182 owners manual in ...

Re: Electric lift
Chuck , Its been a while since I've had an electric lift apart , so I'm going from memory and also a quick look at the parts breakdown . The parts breakdown doesn't show the points part your talking about . I believe what your talking about is the thermal switch which is part of the electric motor a...

Ken , I was pleasantly surprised that the complete 7 piece brake line set was only $100 , I was expecting it to be a lot higher , somewhere in the $200 to $300 range . You may be right about the hush money....LOL.....My front bleeder were almost rotted off and so bad that I had to used Vice grips on...

Re: Check this out
Dave , I could see where they would be practical if you owned a lawn care or landscaping business and flat tires is costing you time and money . I wonder what the cost per tire is seeing that they report 3 times the tread wear of a pneumatic tire . I'm also curious if they plan on making them in the...

Re: Getting too old for this stuff .
Dave , I can't get over the fact that some of the trucks metal parts still look new (no rust) and other parts look 30 years old . Like the rear brake dust plates which are rotting off a 10 year old truck . You can tell that not all the parts are US made or of the same quality metal . I have always w...

Re: Getting too old for this stuff .
Albie , when I was a young man , I would have called 3 of my buddies and we would have got on the 4 corners of the bed and just lifted it completely off . And it would have only cost me a 12 pack of beer . I did a Youtube search for Silveraldo fuel pump replacement and a bunch of video's popped up ....

Getting too old for this stuff .
Time was that I could change out a fuel pump in an afternoon , anymore it takes me 3 days ....LOL A few weeks ago I broke a brake line on my 04 Silveraldo , while under the truck I noticed that they all looked badly corroded and soon found out after talking to a friend who works at an auto parts pla...

Re: My 800
Dave , those 800's came both ways , skinny or wide fronts . Out of the 7 I've owned 5 had fat fronts and 2 were skinny . I noticed in our FAQ's that the 800-1650 are listed as 16 X 6.50 X 8 inch tires as standard equipment on all QL models .....I think its wrong because I've seen numerous 800's with...

Nicholas , its always good to see another 800 being saved . It looks to be in pretty decent shape , do you have the side panels ? I've owned a few 800's and have not had any that originally had a creeper or lights and none of mine do now , although I've thought of adding lights to one of mine . I've...

Thanks guys .....Gary mine are just the opposite , my 1450 is a single spool and its a beast , can't wait to try the 1650 . 1650 dual hydro
I recently traded a 73 for a 1650 dual hydro which made both parties happy . The 73 is a fairly rare (actually the 4th rarest cub made with 7678 units built ) but I have to believe that a dual hydro 1650 also has to be fairly rare . I have two questions ........Is there any record of how many dual h...

Re: Ohio Plow day 11. 2015
Steve , I gave it a good workout and it ran flawlessly . The hydrolift works so good that when the plow got stuck in a spot in the field that was hard packed clay , I went to lift the plow out of the ground the 582 actually popped a wheelie and the front wheels were about 2 ft. in the air .

Re: Rear rim question on "O"s ?
Dave , what your saying may be true . I've got a low 4 digit 2656 that has one wide slot and one narrow slot rim . I got the Original from a guy that only had that one cub , so I don't think its rims weren't switched with another cub . Also it still had the original dry rotted Goodyear Lawn and Gard...

I'm partial to yellow also , I think it stands out against the white hood better, but I don't know if cc every painted any originally yellow . I've only seen the headlight brackets painted yellow . I painted some Original headlights yellow a while back and also had a white set . Just for kicks and t...

Re: Repair Spark Plug Threads ???
George , they are all aluminum . None of the K series Kohler's had anything but aluminum . Grease on the tap is fine to stop shavings from falling into the cylinder , but I wouldn't worry about a few aluminum shavings falling into a cast iron block . A few cranks with the plug left out will blow any...
