Re: 147 in the House!

Thanks y'all, nope, not gonna part it. I may moth ball it awhile though, just started a new job so I'm sorting my way through that and I have a nice dry place I can park it for awhile. Got a nice O, 102 and 104 already on the dry storage list and this one will be nice right there. I'm thinking when ...

147 in the House!

image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg Picked up a 147 Saturday, kinda disappointed that it didn't have the electric lift on it but hey everything else is there. Engine is intact but either has broke rod or something has come loose on inside as it has no compression but doesn't have any holes in the block. ...

Re: Our Friend Geezer

Hollywood had "the Duke", College Football had " The Bear", And we, the Cub Cadet Collectors Community, had "the Geezer". And I say this with sincerity and respect for the Geezer. He was one of the first I remember getting to "know" on the registry and carried on with this site. I never got to meet ...

Re: 3240 added to the Collection

I think I am getting addicted to this thing (3240) hahahaha!!!!!!!!!! Power steering and horsepower to spare plus the big ol deck kinda makes that thing nice to cut with........... eventhough it does feel like riding around in the yard in your pick-up truck with a mower deck on it!Not gonna do like ...

3240 added to the Collection

Picked this one up Saturday Morning up near the TN state line. Y'all forgive the "green" in the picture, as my 3 year old nephew says, "Uncle Tim, that's Casssssssssssshhhh MONEY!". I think the 3240 may hang around for awhile, my wife rode it around the yard and cut with it LOL.

Re: Hit two Homeruns Today (Cub Cadet Style)

Thanks Tim, seems like back in the old days there were quite a few Tim's on here. I don't get on near as much as i used to. Here's a couple more pics of the 124, couldnt believe how good the condition of both seats were on these Tractors.

Re: Is it worth Saving

I noticed that but have no clue. Down here with the rain and the weather in constant change you actually see that in a lot of very old cars and trucks too which makes me think it might be a chemical reaction with the paint to the moisture or something. Or then again it could just be an "abused" cub ...

LOL His exact words! Had a guy tell me that about a couple of old B JD's one time about 15 or 20 yrs ago. Went by there the other day and happened to look over that way and there's not a whole lot left of them, just rusting away.

Re: Is it worth Saving

Update, turns out the parts tractor's are both1961's. Probably built within a few weeks of each other. The one pictured above is 18984 serial number and the other is 19449. At least it will be a good start on building a 61 Original. Now if I could get the old guy with the two sitting in his shed rus...

Well this Southerner got around 4" of snow last night, but the suns out and hopefully it will be gone soon. And as far as driving in this crap, "youse guys" can keep it up north where it belongs. Re: Is it worth Saving

Yep, AW I know what you mean. The chances of finding an O in any condition down here is slim and none. I think I have enough parts to get it started back to life. I just wish I had got it before the PO decided to part it since it had the creeper and all on it. He's still got the creeper and oil bath...

Is it worth Saving

image.jpg Picked this up yesterday and trying to decide if it's worth saving, it's a 61' O that's in pretty rough condition but he basically gave it to me. I had traded him an old Wheelhorse for the fenders which actually came off of this O and he had a creeper and air filter that he was lets just ...

10-4 to the XDS 45, Alabama is very gun friendly on their gun laws but I guess I'm just more comfortable with a CCW. LOL if I get in a mood to show off I can always strap on my Super Blackhawk 44mag in the shoulder holster and head on out hehehe. :D
