Glad your home and on the recovery. Appendix in an adult they say is way worse than on a youngster...be careful with that.

Re: Warning: Thread Hi-Jack

Been using Stabil right along, but I've ordered some of this Star Tron after reading up on it. Should be here this week. Thanks for the info. Jim Jim - Try some Star Tron in the fuel; if it is not too far gone yet it might clear it out. I have started using Star Tron instead of Stabil; the Stabil wo...

Re: My 105

Thanks for the photos. I know this is a "Cub" site ( which are my favorite ) but I like to see the "engineering solutions" of other companies along the way. That photo-bucket looks like a neat way to organize slides. How do you choose which unit to use on any given day? Mine are all more job specifi...

Re: What did you do with your cub today?

Thought about with wind and snow blowing (only 4 inches predicted, but 40mph winds) that I should have cleaned out the carb. and put the new fuel filter and line that the trash we are forced to buy as gasoline seems to have gummed all up on my "snow cub". (this tractor ran fine in Oct. when I put th...

Jim- You're exactly right about the wheels. I saw that using the Mighty Mac as a wheelbarrow style. I first changed the wheels it had to the 8" pneumatics which made it easier to roll around and also higher to allow for more shredding before cleaning the mulch out. I then started brainstorming a wa...

Wondering how anything got done around here before the 782

Picked this up 11/19/11 from Jess Laws. Changed the oils and put a battery keeper on it in the barn. 1st weekend hauled fence posts and materials. Last week hauled 4 deer out of the valley. Today, hauled a mountain of chips, two trees that were damaged and had to come down from that early storm. Sti...

Deer Season 2011 at the farm...

All four boys were home Friday for gun season this year. The photos tell the story. Everybody except the dog is happy. The poor dog has been on a leash or chain all week. He doesn't understand why he can't run the farm like usual. The 782 made the hauling out of the woods and up the valley very nice...

Condition, location, and shipping all play into value...Oh, ya and how bad you want fenders :!: The ones at E-bay and Craig-listings that I have seen have been $150-200 + shipping and/or pick up costs most of the last year. These maybe better or worse condition? I wonder how many useful parts get to...

I lived in the N.E. Ohio "snow belt" (Chardon to Ashtabula area) for many years and no matter how prepared we thought we were, we weren't :( That "six inches of partly cloudy" finally wore me down and I moved to southern Ohio, we have never used a snow blower again. My Cadet blower went to Middlefie...

Hi Wayne, My brother in law and I share a "Mighty Mac" similar to yours...your wheels have a wider stance and are substantially larger. (much better) Next time it is at my place I think I'll work on a wheel set-up more like yours. The only complaint we have had with the unit is its lack of stability...

detergent vs non-detergent oil?

O.K. once again I'm confused. :dontknow: I've always been told that non-detergent oil should be used in non-pressurized systems so that the dirt settles out and gets removed with oil changes. On the other side of things is that detergent oil should be used in pressurized systems so that the dirt sta...
