Re: Greetings to Cycloppers
Welcome! First this post kinda needs to be in the CCC/MTD area, I would move it but I’m at work poor cell service etc etc etc. I’ll do my best to answer… I don’t have the MTD codes memorized, but the Briggs was made 92(year)05(month)08(day) so it was made may 8th 1992 witch is about right for a 1440...

Try tonight ! 3-5 here, coming down at a good clip right now. Good news is the plow is on the truck and a trusty 123 plus the wood is dry and burning good! Bad news is the heater core went on the truck and I’ve yet to replace it. Look term forecast looks like I will be taking Friday off to play in t...

I’ve made harness from 14 gauge I believe the factory used 16 gauge. Battery cables would be thicker, think 6 or 8 gauge. If you have nothing, it might just be easier to buy a complete harness. Last I looked they where between 50-100$

Dave I can’t help sorry. If it’s a Schindler product Lilly a 330a hydro it’s a POS tin foil rails stamped steel, they are NOT straight. There are no roller guides, plastic shoes, built into the stile. Sooo as the rail is not straight the cab moves with the twisted rail and sounds like it’s coming ap...

Just an idea, why not put a brinly hitch on the front instead? Use the tractor to raise and lower as needed? I would guess it would work best on a tractor with hydro lift though.

Snow is coming! Although with 75 today and 65 at 9pm not anytime soon! I’m just hoping that it’s not to cold and oil prices don’t end up double what they are now! We are going to wood this winter, first time in the house. I’m hoping that the cute wood stove that came with the house has enough in it ...

I did not spend long, but I believe that it’s just NLA from cub, they appear to be available from the main Kohler distributors on line. Now they all might be working of old stock, or I may be completely off base!

I’m not sure who made them but I’ve had two of the same thing, steel frame and a Jackson mortar tub instead of the plywood… I guess great minds think alike!

The cool part about w/f tractors is that you can do the pto after. No need to install the grill/hood. All of those parts are not really needed for testing. Just be aware, the grill is cast iron for a reason!

Re: And I came home with two dollars
Ken the pto kit is different (mike has them) use the WF triangle spring double them up. You may also have 1 or 2 neutral start switches, one for the clutch and one for the pto. Pto switch was a later s/n thing too.

Re: And I came home with two dollars
Pto brakes where later s/n tractors only. IMHO they are more trouble than they are worth. Rebuild the original pto and don’t try to convert. Hood hinge is a piano hinge they often fail. Last I checked they could be bought new reasonably, but that was a few years ago, I wouldn’t doubt that they have ...

You will find the 128 is very similar to the narrow frames, just a bit more access! Zagray is only a few weeks away, you should make the trip south for parts… put a list together and mike and I can set you straight!

Sorry i was out of town for a couple days..:
The black knob is the height of cut stopper.
Posi lock is a small foot pedal to the far left front of the left foot rest. It is a clean tractor and should serve someone well for years to come!

Re: 3204 opinion
Good tractor! It should not have diff. Lock, maybe the tin work was changed? Your link does not bring to a add, just the craigslist page for cub cadets. Nothing interchanges with your other cubs, it’s a complete re-design. Not a bad tractor if it has options keep it under 3k, if you have 5 already m...

Those are different tractors/decks
You would need another deck off a 2000 series.
Try Ray Weaver 717-587-3727

Your right, the 154 lo-boys are 15hp the 184 are 18. Remember the lo-boys are cubs, cubs came out in 47, but where designed in the late 30’s. The war put a hood in things, they where first 7hp think they where made to replace horses on a 2-4 horse farm.

Dag I worked at a wheel horse dealership back in the late 90’s so I’m familiar with them. I also read “straight from the horses mouth” so I’ve got some back history.... I believe your 100% correct, many parts are done with low production costs in mind and just simply bolted on! The Pond family was k...
