Re: Cyclops front hydraulics

Steve Thanks for the quick reply! After I posted I pulled some lines off the shelf and noted the same as you, to short! What did you do for the line that goes from the “bottom” of the valve to the power steering? Where you able to “tweek” this line? If not what did you do? I’m not even sure I’m doin...

Cyclops front hydraulics

I’m working on my 1882, it has around 1200 hours and is losing power, and has begun to be a rear bear to start. I’m in the middle of pulling the engine for a starter cleaning new hard gaskets and a general cleaning/service. I believe this is the first time the engine has been out in 30 years. I’m lo...

What’s the total? Just a icey costing yesterday morning washed away by rain. Then sun in the afternoon, a dusting over night last night. Not even enough to sand the driveway!

Dag has the right idea, fill it with new, run it and change againin a few weeks/months. Be sure to get things good and warm and use all the lift/drive power steering functions etc.

Re: 782 Carb Needed

Paul I second what Dave said about eBay. Some are great some are bad. Another option is to make one! You need a 26 carter from any 10/12 kohler. Rebuild kit 25-757-02 Your old carb. Soak and clean the “new” 26 carb, remove needle and seat. Remove choke and throttle shafts from both carbs and install...

Re: PTO Switch 1811

Reverse switch can be seen through the shifter handle slot. The plug is white, kinda a weired one pin a plastic spacer and a second single plug. You can reach through the slot and twist the spring steel with needle nosed plyers, or removed and it can just hang. The seat switch sticks up through the ...

Lew Ken is probably still pushing! They said something like 45” up his way at one of the ski places! 12” here, the truck/Plow did good, only slid off the driveway once, my neighbor pulled me out. Of corse the 2 stroke blower wouldn’t start so I had to shovel/push the snow off my deck. Also have a 16...

Re: PTO Switch 1811

Paul The schematic looks correct for your 1811, like lew said, the black wire might burn out if left tied up. I would look at the seat switch first, it’s easy to get to and very exposed to salt/snow when blowing. If it’s bad I should have a good used one. The reverse switch I’m guessing has already ...

Re: PTO Switch 1811

It’s the safety circuit! Look into a bad or not jumped out seat or reverse switch. The clutch has nothing to do with it. Last thought is a bad relay. Some only have one, others have two, I’m not sure why though!?!

It’s been a while, but as I recall the older smaller bore was 2-7/8 and the newer bore is 2-15/16. Try looking up a Original cub cadet and see if the pistons are the same numbers. There also may be a note in the parts listing for the different bore. A good “old” dealer should be able to help!

To many no-cub projects! Dave C and I have been sawing lumber for our area at our club grounds. We “own” (along with engine mike) a 22x32 space in our big pole barn. We are following another member who has “finished” his space with recycled rough cut barn board. We are a year behind, and just cuttin...

Has any one found a aftermarket idler pulley for the 450/451/551 blowers? I just picked up a 450 and it’s mossing both. $$50 each seams a bit high!? I know stick with OEM and I might still buy them but it just seams high?

I’ve never messed with the cub rear engine riders. Peerless made gear boxes for a lot of brands, I’m guessing after a full clean down you did not find any ID tags?

The 54” blade for a 782 is the same type of mount as the 42”. The super blades don’t fit 782’s.

Re: 1979 Cub Cadet International Purchase

Rich Weights and chains are a must! Chains more so then weights.i prefer to keep a set of chains on smaller (skinny) 6-12’s this will make the tractor sink and find traction easier. This will also allow you to do more work with less added weight! It all depends on your surface, if your on gravel, us...

I’ve been using a 46” deck and a bagger, much easier then the blower, tarp, loader, Snow plow etc. if you have all the correct parts, it will mount on your 782.

I had a similar issue years ago, I put a used starter on my 70.
