Re: Original lift pin dimensions wanted

Jeff; My suggestion to you is make the Universal Pin designed by Jim Steel and add the 1/8" hole 3/16" in from the front end. Forget the welded washer and drill two indexing holes 2 3/4" back from the first of 9/16" hole. These 3/16" holes must be perpendicular and horizontal to the 9/16" holes. I ...

Re: Original lift pin dimensions wanted

There is a washer welded to the lift arm. But not the spring assist 1. You can make out the washer through the hole of the big washer So which one is "correct" for the CCO? Single hole, double hole or yes, both? Thanks for the picture  {edit} Mike, might that one be a NF lift pin? I see a cot...

Thank you very much Jess. That is a big help.

So the spring assist washer simply slips over the lift pin and isn't welded on?

Re: Original lift pin dimensions wanted

Jeff , I know the Original lift pin is slightly shorter than the ones used on the other NF cubs , I think I have one in the garage but it may be stuck in the cast piece . I'll see if I can get it out for some measurements . As William mentioned I know theres a small hole on the one end for a cotter...

Original lift pin dimensions wanted

A fellow cub cadet enthusiast asked about a rear lift pin for an Original. All I've found out there are a few different styles but all seem to have a welded washer. Some have the hole in the washer for the spring assist.

Does anyone have the dimensions ?

Thanks

The 50/50 mix of acetone and ATF is the "go to" for the Kawasaki triple enthusiasts. Aluminum cases and cylinders with steel studs make for some "fun" corrosion experiences.

Tom - I'll give a whirl today. I have the cutoff stuff but have been hesitant to use it for fear of damaging the shaft. That said, I'll try my hand at it (carefully) and see what happens. I'll report back and let you know how it goes. As for the outer race being stuck/rusted in the carrier, may jus...

You northern guys that get snow.... actual snow need something bigger than a cub. Where I live a cub is fine for the teeny tiny amount of snow we get, but if I had the feet of snow you all get sometimes, I'd have something with a heated cab for snow removal! :) I had to snow throw with 125 and the ...

Re: New owner of a 129

Welcome Jeff. .............Your 129 should have a lever in the tunnel cover on the right hand side as your seated that when lifted(and the flap isn't broken and the valve stems are free)lets the tractor free wheel. You may even get lucky and find the dump valves are the later self dumping style. Re: CC36 snowblower

I did a little checking using google and was referred to another cub cadet forum ( the one with long disjointed posts ). It seems the CC will bolt up to a narrow frame tractor. Not sure what you need for a belt size wise though. It should bolt up easy enough. Two bolts ( 1/2-13 NC ) to the nuts in t...

Jeff those are very nice parts. What about the lift arm and hardware for the top, do you machine tbat as well? All I have seen look like cast. Re: plow for a 1000

OK, now we are on to something! First off if you can post a picture of the back of your tractor it would really help. For a traditional plow you would need a rear lift assembly. Some call it a 3 point, some call it a sleeve hitch. It is not an actual 3 point hitch like you would see on a farm tract...

I tried to install a fuel line fitting on new carb. Something is wrong with the threads...fitting won't screw on.......

Welcome Randall. In my opinion the 1000 could benefit from solid mounts and a standard clutch set up as the flex driver used with iso mounts are prone to breakage and are pretty spendy. Randall order solid motor mounts from me today and they are already on there way to him via Priority Mail. ( trac...
