Re: Spark nock problem solved

Vince, The need for 110 AV fuel in a flathead that can't possibly have a higher compression ratio than 9 to 1is something of a hard sell to me. I run a K series that is both block decked and head shaved and it gets along on 89 octane just fine. In fact I have noticed some dropoff in throttle respons...

Pan seat repair

Well, the last time that I had to repair a crack in this seat was back in 85- so all things considered the repair lasted longer than when it was brand new

Re: High boss VS Low boss Kohler head

Many folks are under the impression that all low boss style heads have the spark plug over the exhaust valve. That's simply not the case. DSCN0209.JPG This one is also a heart style head, it will offer the most compression of the three general series of heads. DSCN0210.JPG While the truth may never ...

Knock knock, who's there?

I still can't get over this one. My son spent his day pulling cord wood down off the big hill with the 100. The plan at this point is to cover the badly damaged lower area with new metal- this strip is 1 1/4" x 18" x 1/8" thick. It will be welded all the way around once it's been securely tacked.
