Is It Plow Day Yet???
Am I ready yet? No. Am I willing? You BET! It's that whole sneaky plow day thing, here it is again and it's gonna come even faster this year. I'm flying to Knoxville for three days tomorrow, I'm supposed to be a grandfather Friday, Gotta finish wiring the hitch I put on the new Cub Hauler. This wee...

Jim,
I can get a Ranger on my trailer and I just put a hitch on my new cub hauler.
Champion's not too far from me, let me know if you need it hauled!

Re: Got started on the 149
Oh, a reminder.
It's not a bad idea to check bolts for tightness every now and then.
If I didn't see this fly across the yard while I was cutting the grass it would be long lost.
The nick the blade put in it kinda acts a a thread locker....

Re: Got started on the 149
Cultivated the neighbors garden yesterday with the 149 and broke a tine. I was trying to tear out a stump that's been in his garden for years, I eventually got it out! IMG_0162.JPG I figured I had nothing to loose trying to weld it (and getting it to hold). I ground it to a point on both ends and f...

Apple Products
I was never much of a fan of Apple and am still undecided. Work bought me an iPhone, it's the first Apple product I've ever used. It's a good phone but I don't like the way you can't really personalize it as much as an Android or something. It has a heck of a camera though and I like the siri option...

Re: Fort Allen Meeting for Plow Day
Hey Geezer, I don't know if I can make the Fort Allen meeting this week.
I'm probably going to be in VA and WV for three days.
I'll let you know Monday.
I feel better, at least I have one tractor ready for plow day. The pressure is off.

Re: Got started on the 149
Well, the stretch frame for the 149 is still standing up in the shop and hasn't moved..... I needed to get the grass cut and was going to fire up the 149 BUT, figured if I did, I'd never get it tore down to make the conversion. So I pulled the front blade off the new 782 (only got to do some good pl...

Mike,
I had the rear seal on my 71 F-100 leak back down the rod to the pedal and down behind the floor mat. That took a little to find.

Off the rich people's lawn.....

Cool Thread! I started out at 14 as a lawnmower mechanic at my buddies family shop. At 16 I started running heavy equipment and drove truck. Owned my own lawnmower shop (bought by previous employers inventory) at 18 instead of going to college and worked it along with running equipment till after I ...

My 69 1650 Loadstar that I used to run snow removal for the state with. That truck would go anywhere! The only thing I didn't like back then was most of the state sheds didn't keep salt under roof and it would freeze and stick to the sides of the spreader. Sometimes you could raise the bed a few in...
