Re: Ethanol problems
If you do store ethanol fuel the only way to do that is to store it in a STEEL air tight container. Plastic containers will actually interact with the fuel hasten the fuel's break down. Have done extensive research on storing fuel for the racing fraternity and that is what we found. Storing fuel eve...

Re: Ethanol problems
Do not use the RED Sta-Bil....Use the Blue Sta-Bil.....it is formulated to handle the ethanol problem. This government gasoline has a shelf life of less than 60 days. Run a chromatograph of it and compare to feed stock gasoline and you can see the JUNK that is in it...... The amount of additives is ...

Vinnie: While you were at the auction, I was picking you back pocket. Picket up a "funny colored" diesel with the number 330 on it for a grand in Dittmer. I also picked you other pocket two weeks back and picked up a 1772 for $1500 in Wright City. It is getting a makeover so it will be in tip top sh...

That looks like my D65E6 Komatsu that I buried a few years back. It took the equivalent of 6 977's to pull it out after I rigged cables and pulleys to get it out. The hole that I left was big enough to go swimming in. Then I buried my 60 ton 2500 P&H excavator in the bottom of the creek trying to cr...

Re: GASOLINE ???
BG products are not available over the counter if my memory is not too rusty. Enthanol laced gasoline will cause the carb to GUM up. Alcohols all leave a gumy residu and that will gum up a carb rather quickly. Also, ethanol laced gasolines will attract moisture very rapidly. That is one of the reaso...

Dave:
That should work...it takes a lot of patience.
When the idiot gears took a permanent vacation on my 169, it left a LARGE hole and some missing pieces of block.
Cost a ton to find a true replacement block.
Still have the 169 cause I can't afford to sell it now!

I'll have to park out in the boonies this year.
I can haul a lot of cubs since it has a ton of tie downs on the floor.
Tows a whole lot easier than the other one.

I changed my cub hauler again. Not satisfied with the 40' 3-axle flat bed cub hauler or the 30' 3-axle Haulmark enclosed cub hauler. Decided to replace my 30' 3-axle enclosed tag trailer that I had at Cub-arama last year with something a little bigger. 48' 3-axle Goose neck Haulmark...cold not pass ...

Re: M18 no start
You can easily check the magneto/coil. Unplug the wire harness that comes out of the shorud. THen try and start it. If the coil is bad, it will not start. If it is good and something such as the key switch is bad, it will run. To shut it off, replug the connector. It should shut down. I believe ther...

I spoke too soon! About an hour after I posted, it started snowing here and left 2-3 inches. Farm got another 5-7".
Had to crawl into the heated cab of my Tackuchi and push some snow for church and a couple of businesses.
Too cold on an open tractor like the cubs so they stay parked.

Paul: Trailer is tagged at 32000#...that is the reason for three 12000# axles and the truck is tagged at 12000#. The original GVW of the truck is no longer valid due to major changes to frame, suspension and axles. The 12000# is lower than what the GVW is for the F350 w/duals. Already talked to IDOT...

I'm gonna solve that when I put a Cummins in place of the PSD.....That is why I kept the 97...theris a kit available for the swap.
If I was going bigger, then I would just buy an 18 wheeler,,,OH this is an 18 wheeler.....

Re: New Cub Hauler
BB I left 5 feet on the mfg floor. It is only 35 feet of main deck with 5 feet of ramp. I wanted to be able to haul two backhoes or three skid steers, that is the reason for the 3 axles. I also wanted to be able to haul a 20,000# dozer. My real cub hauler is a 30ft long Haulmark 3-axle enclosd trail...
