. Success! . Dug the 1811 outta the snow and was able to inspect the seat switch. One of the wire terminals not plugged into the seat switch. Inspection showed the terminal was bad. Thanks Joe, the Rev switch probably has been jumped as you suggest. Where is it located?

The 1650 with blade did its usual excellent job of cleaning the 15".

Thanks guys for your suggestions. It does use a relay (NLA) and I'm thinking the seat switch might be the issue. The old switch was rusted shut after numerous years of sitting out in the rain.

I believe this is the correct wiring diagram for the PTO system.

The switch simply won't stay snapped up into position. Even when motor off the switch won't stay "up".

I've been running it with a cable tie holding it on.

I put a new MTD PTO switch in my 1811. The PTO turns on but doesn't stay in the full up switched position. You need to hold the switch "up" to keep the thrower running.
