Re: And I came home with two dollars

The obvious answer is to find a gear drive with no engine.
Glad I could solve that sticky problem. :D

Re: And I came home with two dollars

Ken, I’m a little jealous. Of all the Cubs I have had I never found a wide frame gear drive. I really like hydro’s but still have a soft spot for gear drives.

Re: Cub Cadet 147

Load your rear tires with RV antifreeze, add two link chains with V lugs(no concrete or asphalt driveway) and a snow blade and you’ll out work an F Cub.

Ham and CB chatter

Let's hear the stories guys. I first took to the CB airwaves in about 1977. My dad converted a van and part of the conversion was a Panasonic? am/fm CB. Wow! what fun!! I could talk wirelessly to people all of 4 miles away! I ended up with a Teaberry that was peaked, had a roger beep and a D104. I a...

"2" of freezing rain and a foot of snow!" That was a common way of one of the locals to let everyone know he had his ears on. Yes Dag, I was a CB guy!.....I have to this day my peaked Teaberry, my 125 watt amp, my echo box and my dual fiberglass whips. Sounds like we got us a convoy! I'm going start...

Re: Cub Cadet 147

Well, no, I don't own a smart phone and never will. Hate 'em. I still intend to get photos of my Cub up soon--maybe this weekend. As for this carb-governor issue, I think I have it licked. I reset the carb hi speed screw and idle screw to factory, fired up the motor, and it ran well. I think I turn...

Paul, First off, welcome. We’ll be nice to you for a while and then when we call you a chuckle head or similar you know you passed the initiation. ;) Second, download a K series Kohler manual. In it you will find the procedure to do the governor initial setting. If that works great, if not we’ll kee...

No pics but the 2072 has been used pretty regularly as of late. Pulled out some old lilac bushes, pulled the trailer for clean up, pulled the big trailer home from the neighbors with a VW parts car.
Of course mowing duty has been with my blind 125.
