Re: Rehabbing mower blades
It is not worth the time and effort to band aid-patch a mower blade. My main mower is a Simplicity Landlord. I was going thru a set of mower blades made by Simplicity every 2-3 years. I installed a set of Oregon mower blades http://www.oregonproducts.com/pro/products/oep/blades/blade. They are on th...

Re: Kohler K Series block interchange
I wouldn't bore a 12 horse (K301) block to a 14 horse power bore. The is not enough metal cylinder area for it to last very long. You have 3 choices: find a another 14 horse power block, run a stock 12 horse power engine or build a modified/hot rod 12 horse power block. You will need a #26 carb for ...

Re: Engine Break-in Procedure
This is the way I break in a rebuilt engine ( Cub Cadets-Kohler engine). I will vary the engine RPM for the first 25 to 30 minutes. I will leave the RPM at a the same speed for a minute. I will drain the engine oil and replace with new oil. The next 30 minutes I will drive the tractor around. The RP...

Re: Loader Build Help
I'm still in a design phase. I started a loader build topic on 4 different sites and received some great information. Someone sent an email that had a Kwik-Way loader install instructions to mount the same loader on a Wide Frame IH Cub Cadet. After down loading the instruction I realized I had a cop...

Re: Loader Build Help
Tom, Thanks for link to your loader pictures. I like the stands holding the loader up when not in use. I'm still in the research stage with my loader project. I want some bracing from the loader framework to the rear axle and to the center of the tractor frame. I may get carried away with the suppor...

Loader Build Help
I have a Kwik Way loader that is missing the framework between the tractor and the loader.
The loader is going on my IH Cub Cadet 149.
Can someone post some pictures of their framework and hydraulic pump mount?

Re: Model CC for Front End Loader Project
I hope to one day have a IH Cub Cadet with loader that has a self leveling bucket. The tractor will be a wide frame and have a hydro trans in it. I recently picked up a non running 149 which may be the one I use. Engine will be a K 301 or K 321. The forward-reverse will be a foot controlled. The pla...

Welcome Jeff. I would sell the 14 hp Kohler and us the money to rebuild the K301. There is too modifying that needs done to make the K321 work in your 107. I'm not a big fan of electronic ignition on a single cylinder Kohler. You can have a good spark by using a Bosch coil, 8 mm plug wire, Auto Lite...

Saint Peter watches the long road between mortal life and Heaven. In the distance a patch of orange and white appears on the horizon. As the dust settles the angels hurry to open the gates as wide as possible to let a battered U-haul van through. As the van pulls up Peter looks in the window and at...

Re: setting up a plow
Brad,
Sounds like you have too much point on the plow or the hitch settings need tweak. Must be a whole lot drier in the Delphos area.
Bring it to the plow day and we will have you plowing in a short time or we will hook one of my plows to your Cub Cadet.
