Re: New Job

Vince , Your not the only one that has to work with below par equipment . Some of our equipment is 50 yrs old....LOL But one advantage I have is that I can shop engines or cars for safety violations without being second guessed . Thats one positive of having the Federal Railroad Administration (FRA)...

Re: spinning a hydro backwards

He will have to make 2 changes if he wants the hydro controls to operate correctly. 1st - he has to turn the hydro input pump 180 degrees . That involves just removing the two bolts in the pump and making sure that the O ring seal is straight when reinstalled . Thats the easy part . 2nd - he will ha...

Re: IH Cub Cadet 800 going west ( Iowa )

Mr . Mez should be very happy with my old 800 as it is 99.5 % correct. Other than faded paint and decals its sheet metal is straight with very little rust and no previous owner added holes . Dash tin is in very good condition , and steering wheel foil decal are there . The only issues I seen with it...

Re: IH Cub Cadet 800 going west ( Iowa )

Vince , if you look close at the pictures i took of the 800 in the yard , I don't have any grass . Its all turned brown and I haven't mowed the yard in over a month.
And I can testify that Pauls yard doesn't look any better...

Re: Cylinder de glaze

Watch for what grit ball hone you buy . I just deglazed a 18 mag last week and went to buy a ball hone and couldn't even order one under 120 grit . The Kohler Magnum twin service manual recomends that the final (burnishing stone ) be 220-280 grit . The only thing I could find that fine was the flat ...

Re: Look what followed me home!

Joe , I just lent it to Adrian for Ohio PD a couple of weeks ago when Adrian came up this way to get some tires loaded . I'm leaving the 982 at home this year and I'm taking narrow frames to AW's , so i wasn't going to use it . I plan on keeping the plow....sorry . But it'll be sitting in the back o...

Re: 1872 where do I go from here?

Vince , I'm betting that engine isn't hurt . I bought a Mag 20 once from a lawn mower repair shop that had been sitting outside on the ground for who knows how long . They put a bag over the carb , but the exhaust manifolds were left open to the weather. I got it during cold weather , because when I...

IH Cub Cadet 800 going west ( Iowa )

I was recently asked by a fellow member Ray Weaver if I'd be interested in selling one of my four 800's . People who know me know that I don't sell many of my cubs , especially some of the rarer ones . At first I said no , but Ray informed me that he had a gentleman IH collector that had been lookin...

Re: 1872 where do I go from here?

Vince , seems like a lot of work over a bad starter , can't you find a good used starter to try on that magnum . Do you have a coil for the command ? I would think a starter for the 18 mag would be easier to find than the coil on the command and the price can't be that much different . Maybe I'm mis...

Re: Red Green and the 1650 cub cadet

Very funny ...but it looks like a manual lift gear drive , probably a 1000 or 1200...
Besides if it was a 1650 , even Red Green wouldn't have enough duct tape to keep the doors from vibrating off....

I was gonna ask you if you were going to AW's .
But with your past track record , I was afraid if you said yes , you might get plagued with a horde of locust the eve before plowday ....LOL
I guess we should consider ourselves lucky that we have our health and a job these days .

Re: Anybody got a TD to post about?

Over the weekend I purchased a TD6 50 hp . with a DROTT skidloader . Runs good but doesn't appear to be charging the battery . I need to pickup a wiring diagram and a operation manual for it. The only manual I got from the previous owner was the engine repair maual . http://i727.photobucket.com/albu...
