I know of one fellow from Kentucky who's driven farther for a good plowday and lunch....LOL
He's got a 982 , and also knows about the torque of those 20 hp Onans .... ;)

Re: A "followed me home" thread! Caution: one ugly Cub Cadet

Tim , brought this one home last night , seems to have a steering issue . Maybe the experts on this site can help me . It wasn't to bad to load as we used a two wheel lift dolly under the front axle to roll it up the loading ramps . Seems the previous owner needed the front spindles for a 125 ...

I agree with Tom on this one , maybe if there was more posting . The 3000's are nice machines and I know BB loves his collection .
A few weeks ago I thought about mentionong a section for loader cubs , because everbody likes loaders....
Or maybe a section for SGT's . Where does it end ?

Dave , I've done a few of those covers and they go on easier if the vinyl is warm . In the summertime I usually just sit them in the sun for a while , in the winter I borrow a hair dryer ...LOL I've installed them by myself but a extra set of hands helps to get the trim tight and the vinyl wrinkle f...

Re: 1450 loader

David , Its actually a 782 , and gets used alot . I've used it for several gravel driveway cleanups including Ohio pd and is probably my favorite cub . I also find its handy for stirring my rather large compost pile . Sorry Dave I'm not trying to steal your thread , but your going to love that loade...

You could always add one of these to the back of that loader . Makes a great and useful counterweight ....

Re: 1450 loader

Dave , nice job looks great !! My first loader was mounted on a 1450 . My only concern is your choice of front tires . While the bar front tires add to the cool factor , the steering wheel is going to turn a little harder in soft dirt than it would with a wider less aggressive tread pattern , especi...

Yes Bryan ? Me and that guy Steve finally got a day off together and he came by Sunday and picked up your 82 series front end parts . Tom , Nice job ! I'm going to have to look at my side panels to see if they are beginning to wear . I like you side panel bracket upgrade . My box blade is almost a permant fixture on the back of my 782 loader cub . It makes a nice counterweight for the loader bucket and I use it all the ...

Re: 1572 questions. Hydrostat.

I'm with Dave on changing the fluid and filter first , but after doing that if conditions don't improve then I'd look at the trunion . In case changing fluids and filter don't improve the performance then I would say that you may have either a worn out trunion or maybe a broken or missing trunion sp...

Road trip to Indiana

I made a road trip up to my buddy BB's to swap a really nice QA42A snowblower for a good running 18 hp Briggs engine that I need for one of my 582's . While I was there he also loaded a few assorted boxes of mostly 82 series parts into my truck .......Thanks Bryan  It took both of us to load t...

Re: How many hours should i expect from a rebuild mag 18?

John , I agree with Dave on about 1700 hrs. if well maintained , maybe longer . I had a 782 with a KT-17 series II ( very similar to a mag 18 ) that I sold Jim W a few years back and the previous owner did regular maintenance on it , and was still running well with over 1600 hrs. on it , it used jus...

Keith , watched a couple of the youtube video's and that's a slick setup . I'd be really interested in one if I didn't have a 782 loader tractor . I'm guessing you'd need a dual hydro to operate the bucket's dump cylinder ? That looks like it would work really great on one of my dual hydr...

Ken , There is some wear on the crankshaft at about the 5 oclock position if the keyways is at the 12 oclock position . I'm probably going to use a combination of you guys ideals for repairs .
