Re: I did not want it

Bryan,Once u set the ground speed lever where u want it it runs smooth,it jerks only when moving the lever. Did a little digging and it sounds like the springs in the trunion. I will try a shim on the ends of the spring plates or the end cap things, and just see if im on the right track.

Yes it is the one in finksburg, did u go to see it as it may b close to u, or just see on-line. Im buying it from a guy that has a small lawnmower repair shop on the side, this was an eighty yr old client of his that bought this new in 89. This task of refilling these aluminum rears is not very easy. The 1811 from the factory had an aluminum rear so if it is stock than a cast iron cover will not fit. I have just suffered through it but have heard of the axle tube bolt trick and it sound like the best option. If u use a tube it would h...

You r not alone Denny! Eight yrs ago i moved into my new house with three plus acres. The only cub i had was the 127 with a 48" deck,so i mowed for the first yr and it went ok but the whole time i was looking for a bigger mower. I did not notice it so much but when i would come in the house after mow...

Haban Deck Belt

Today was the first i mowed in over three weeks. I noticed the longer i mowed the more i felt a vibration. I think my power steering leaked on the belt and sat for 3 weeks and killed the kevlar fabric around the belt. I have had this belt for about 2 years and i think it would have lasted longer if ...

Re: painting again

Dave, The blower housing is really easy, the mounting hitch not so much. You can remove the whole hitch with one long lower rod/pin and two bolts on sides near the fan. The blower gear box comes off the back with 4 little nuts and is splined into the blower fan, then remove the cup bearing bolts on t...

Thats a nice looking setup. Does the tiller have some sort of slip clutch that protects your driveline from damage ? you were going over some tough ground ,rocks, hard clay, roots ,stumps. Looks like your preparing for winter taking all the trees out of harms way next to the driveway  Dave
