Re: cub cadet 682 no spark

Yes, points are opening. I have used the coil that came with engine and the one that I know works, a known good condenser, new plugs and wires. I'm sure it's something obvious just really stumping me, love to get this girl running

Re: Cub Cadet 106 Hood Bracket

Took some pictures of ags on some of my tractors. The 23x10.50 Deestones on a 126 are about 9" wide compared to 10.5" on carlisles which are mounted to the red 682. I like the deestones especially the front tri ribs. I really like these new HI-RUN 23x10.50 ags I got from walmart.com, about $140 deli...

cub cadet 682 no spark

Researched this to no end, spent too much time on it. Swapped the old series I in it for a series II. It would run with the series I. Now with the new engine, I can only get it to crank. Verified 12 volts at coil, cleaned points, then new points plus wipe down, along with new condenser, new plugs an...

Re: 125 tiller tractor

Nice, they are fun to use. I ended up selling the tiller separate and sold the tractor without the options, sold hydraulic lift.

Re: New to the site "Beware"

Awesome. Is that a dedicated tiller tractor? I like having one cub for each attachment, takes up space but I don't have to mess with mount and dismounting

That's excellent, post some pictures when you can. I love any 82 series especially the 982s .

Nice 86, great little tractors. Yours looks great with the double stack of cub weights! No.4 trailers are nice too, I use mine a lot more than any others

Re: A1 tiller to a 1450

You will need to loosen the lift control tee, the piece that screws into the bolt that holds the chains. Once the belts on, tighten up and your on your way.

Re: A1 tiller to a 1450

The pto belt is part # 61959C1 (7/16x145") The tiller to gearbox belt part # is 487044R1 (13/32x53") I have gotten both of these belts from vbelts4less.com and run them on a 2A tiller behind a 782 and have been very pleased with them, have a lot of hours on them and they perform great for a fraction...

Re: 125 tiller tractor

Yeah it's a 1A. The bigger one is a 2nd generation 2 with a nos hopper. I have a rebuild kit for the 10 that will get done hopefully by spring

125 tiller tractor

Just about got this old girl buttoned up. Ordered the belts for the tiller. It's a 105 but I put a 12 hp in it I hand on hand, the original 10 hp needs a rebuild. I like this one pretty good but already have a nice 782 with a tiller so this one may go, not sure. Spent the day addressing the obligato...

Re: slow cranking 124

Boy do I feel like a dunce. Pulled the head, aside from some light carbon build up and semi clogged cooling fins everything ok. Isolated the problem further. Increasingly difficult to spin by hand. Removed starter gen belt, pulley is tight, engine spins like it should now. Shot with some PB, reassem...

Re: slow cranking 124

Thanks for all the informative responses. I took the cam cover off, it looks to me like the springs are still engaged. I have not pulled the head and checked the valves yet, I think that will be my next step.

Re: slow cranking 124

Still having the same issues as well. Ran a jumper bypassing each battery cable and same results. Spray some starting fluid in carb and fires up. Don't like to rely on this. I'll run it for a little bit, shut it down, then start it back up and it'll fire up again great. Let it set until the next day...

slow cranking 124

Howdy new to site, I have a question on a 124 I've had for a few years. I'm the second owner, it's generally my primary mower unless I feel like using the 982. Since last year it has been slow to crank but it fires. Now it won't fire until I spray starter fluid in it. Things I have done to it- clean...
