Re: 1862 power steering

Tim
I have a TRW Power Steering Manual that covers the disassembly/trouble shooting/assembly of the Hydraguide steering system if you need it. It may answer your questions. It has the same parts breakdown in it you posted, so you may have it.

Jess,

You could bring that down here and practice on my driveway, and then when you did yours, you would get it perfect  Guess I need to order one for myself.

Re: Continuous Thread for all the Posts That Don't Rate a To

Jess,
He has been listing those for quite some time. They started out at a higher price (don't remember what it was) and he keeps relisting them every day or so, even has them listed on more than just the Louisville Craiglist site. Wonder how he "knew" they were for a "Cub Cadet mower deck"......?

Re: NF blue seat trim opinions/answer

Jess, If you have one of the rubber seats from a 102, the paint on the blue band around those seats is a very close match to the blue windlace. If you have one it may be faded but I have found that the band is painted on both sides, so if you take it off the inside (next to the rubber) should be unf...

William, I can't offer much help except to say the top number on the blower housing data plate is the engine serial number, the second row of numbers is the engine spec number and is for a 7 hp K161 engine used in a recoil start Original, and may not be the original data plate that belongs on that b...

I like the concept, but I don't like the short steep ramps and come-a-long. Maybe because I am a retired Air Force Ground Safety Manager has something to do with it. Jess is right. OSHA would have a field day if that were a business property. What was the winch and come-a-long connected to? Please d...

Geezer,
This is the only picture I have of Grrrrrrr, it went to a new home several years ago. It always got plenty of attention when I rode around on it at shows, because of the deep throaty sound/bark from the 2-1/2" exhaust stack.

Re: Cub Flat Belt Pulley on Early Cub Cadet PTO

The PTO turns backwards on both the Farmall/International Cub/Cub Lo-Boy (not the 154,185, 184 LoBoys) and the Cub Cadet. The Cub and LoBoy PTO turn at engine speed (up to 1800 RPM depending on the year model) and the Cub Cadet PTO will turn 514.28 RPM at 3600 engine RPM because of the 7 to 1 gear r...

You never know what is on a dealers dusty shelves

I came across this NOS Brinly-Hardy Cat "O" to Sleeve hitch adapter yesterday. It has been on a dealers shelf for a number of years. I don't know when the green decals were used, but it says it was made in Louisville, KY and Brinly moved across the river to Jeffersonville, IN in 2000. Although the d...

I was told the weights are thought to be from Allis/Simplicity (sp). They fill the wheel and weigh about 50 lbs each.

Re: Correct Yellow

It is Federal Yellow and can be bought from Case IH. The yellow that has the orange shade is probably from Cub Cadet and is not the correct shade. Cub Cadet has 3 or 4 different shades of Cub Cadet yellow depending on what model it will be used on, but in my opinion none of them are the same shade a...

Jess,
I had seen that auction advertised, but something tells me things will be kinda pricey (which will be good for the seller of course), but probably not be any bargins for a buyer. That's just my feeling.

Not the birthday present I wanted.

I got the results of a biospy on Nov 6th (my 73 rd birthday) and learned that a tumor that had been found in my chest is malignant. It is non-operable because even with all the scans and pictures they cannot tell what it is attached to. It is of a type normally found in lung cancer, but it is not in...

I like it, I like it, I like it. There is just something about a 70/100. I normally don't care for the early models painted red, but this one is nice. Do I see a wide frame front axle with modified spindles? What size are the rear wheels/tires?
