For Sale posts and craigslist links

First a comment, then a question. If it would be possible, I would like to see a minimum post amount before a for sale ad is allowed to be placed. We have a lot of people who join to post their classified ads, and we never hear from them again. Also, as a poster, and contributor to the forum, I feel...

Re: 40th anniversary toast

Yes, the 3184 is a cast rear axle. The guy that I sold it to had gotten a 3206 last yr from me that needed rear axle seals. He got the 3184 from me earlier this year, and is going to use the deck, rear wheels, and rear end out of the burnt 3240 to "super size" the 3184 which had smaller rear tires a...

Dave, I have one left, come get it! It is even set up with ez vac sides and top. Also have 3 1650s that you could bring back to life. Well, maybe 2. One is in pretty bad shape. Re: 40th anniversary toast

BB

The entire tractor went to a friend. He plans to use the rear end in a 3184 so he can have the locker.

I doubt if it is what you are looking for, but the non-locking rear from the 3184 will be available in the near future.

I do not have any 3000 series tractors, or parts at the moment.

Mike,

I really enjoyed meeting you, and Gene. I wish we would have had longer to visit, but I know you had a brutally long drive ahead. I know the machines have found a good home. Thanks once again, you were a pleasure to deal with as well! Hope to talk to you soon.

Re: What can you tell me about this "mower"

Hi,Mark Welcome to the forum. Just my opinion... 1405 is just a riding mower, not a garden tractor like most of us on this forum are geared towards. That series does make for a good mower when they are 100%. Parts do show up on ebay from time to time. The biggest problem that I have seen in my limit...

Vinny....what makes the 3000's so hard to get off? Is it the higher steering wheel u cant lift your leg over.....or is it the foot controls that cause your arthritis to flare. Just wondering? Vinny - First of all, more model number confusion... for the gas Kubota Cyclops, you mean 2182. You go through so many tractors they are just a blur coming by! doh!.jpg Yes they are, 4 more today. This hobby has turned into a habit! Not to hijack the thread, but I have been thinking about a gas Kub...

Re: 2086 diesel conversion?

If is a factory equipped diesel, that could only be a 782d which is not a Super...no power steering or turning brakes. I need to memorize some numbers better myself, I have been in the hobby for a long time, and I still get confused on cyclops model numbers.

Joe, Just me thinking out loud, but here are a few of my thoughts in no certain order. A 2086 is such a good, powerful, and most of all reliable tractor as it is I would personally never attempt this conversion. You would be looking at wiring harness differences, pto clutch fitment issues, there are...

Tim,

Nice find! Would love to find a good anniversary model. I love that people are catching on to the 3000 series tractors. Once you get on one, it's hard to get off. Does that one have more than one hydraulic valve?

And your nephew is right. That green turns to gold really quick$$$$!!!!

Re: Ignition switch connector sources?

Found a good deal thru a local vendor. They come in a package of 5 for $4.00. I purchased 20 of them. They were called a "packard" connector in their catalog rather than a "Delphi" as I was calling them. They had to be shipped in, which brought the total to about $26.00. Pretty close to the target p...

I never knew the rubber blocks were factory, good to know!

That seat sure looks good!

The paint dept. sure did leave a lot to be desired. I wonder if the metal wasn't prepped right, cheap paint, not much paint...who knows.

Ok. Tractor #2 is a 782 that was bought new by the gentleman that I bought it from. On it's 3rd engine, the one in it now is a Kohler factory replacement. Robert, If you remove the air cleaner assembly and the oil filler tube you can look right into the engine where the governor sits. You will know right away if there is any damage to it. Should be a white plastic gear, but will probably be more brown in color. You may find that it is entirely gone. F...

The rear tank on my truck has a jb weld patch over a stainless sheetmetal screw that has been on there for about 8 years. The Deutz Allis mag 18 has been plugged since 2009. Done it on a Kawasaki vert. shaft engine on a walk behind, and a Deutz Allis with a magnum 18 with good success, but I tried it on a Command in an 1864 and it seemed like the engine took forever to shut off. I removed the plunger but left the solenoid in place on all but the magnum. On the magnum I ...

Welcome, Paul!

Great collection there. You have found the right place! As more people discover the 3000 series, they find out what an awesome machine they are. In my opinion, the 3000 series is the last true garden tractor that CC made, and the most comfortable ride CC ever made!
