I'm not sure of the length but I know it's 5/8 not 1/2 like the older models. There is a bend that follows the bottom of the side panels. It will sit basily level then kick up at about a 30 degree bend to the mounting point on the tractor. Your best bet is to find a used one or one to copy.

Welcome
122 is the model!
The deck would have a small tag riveted to the left side
Good luck and post more as questions arise

Start with a good battery if the problem continues the look elsewhere. The coil needs to have 12v to provide spark.

Re: PTO rebuild
Greg That would be the need heavier / newer pto that others have discussed. Seeing as bowed your having issues only a short time after rebuild I would use that clutch and also find a pto arm from a 1x6/7 they are already beefed up. After trying the plates and doing the full rebuild you should have a...

Mike 759-3490 The kit runs about $45-60 it all really depends on who you get it from. Most of the time all you really need is the disk though, There is someone on e-pay selling just the disk for about $30 but without the adjusting tool. I'm not sure where you would find the tool other then making on...

Re: 982
Eric Welcome! IH built Cub Cadets until June of 1981 after that MTD bought out the Cub cadet line and moved production to Brownsville TN. The X82's came out in 1980 as others have said, so a IH built 982 was a 1 year old tractor. However MTD made Tractors with Red paint and tagged them IH until 1985...

I just put a Wix 51064 on my 782D last week, this was a direct cross form the Napa 1064 that was on there. Of course you could get the one from Kubota...... I used 15-40 but was reading under the hood basically the same as Todd was saying as I was doing it....

Just an up-date, it's been since last June but the stens belt on the 100 is still going strong. I did a full tune up on the ole 100 this past weekend and found the belt to be in great shape, if there is still an issue with the MTD belt next time I need one I'll get a stens one again! FYI the stens n...

David Look between the frame and the top of the front axle there is a front stabilizer kit that came with these loaders that I'm betting was left on the first tractor the loader was mounted to. If it's there it's a sign that the tractor may have once had a loader. If not maybe the PO had made his ow...

I found a guard, and Have a seat, I've got to paint the guard and put the seat back together. The seat will be the one you didn't want that night at the watering hole out your way. Once I get it pulled back apart it will be better then New!

I always thought they stopped making the 149s when the 169s came out. I believe they continued making the rest of the 89 series until the end of production until the quiet line series started. Then again...I could be wrong too.
