Re: Trying to start 782D again.

I'd double check that the fuel lines are connected to their proper locations and did you bleed the system at the primer fuel filter location? I think you're suppose to bleed it there first and then at the injector location if it even matters. The bottom of the fuel tank has a filter screen that coul...

Re: Optional hydraulic fluids

If I don't use genuine Hytran, I use the stuff from Napa. That brand shows on the back that it meets the hytran specs plus mentions it has that water seperating ability or whatever its called. I think that's what alot of the purists will argue that nothing else seperates the moisture.

Can the belt go under the bolt/shaft piece that its riding/rubbing on? Do you have an unadjustable lift link on both sides? You'll need at least one so you can level it.

Here you go. There may be an even higher quality version but I never looked into it. These have worked plenty well in both the 782 and 1572.

I just recently bought the 1" from Napa and I like them very well. They were less expensive than from cub cadet but I can't remember the exact price.

Re: Hard starting 682

Like Kevin said those engines should start very easily with the proper tune up, good fuel, and a good battery. I suspect alot of your problem is the fuel sitting so long. Today's fuel doesn't last very long. I would recommend draining the tank, refilling with fresh fuel and using something like Stab...

Have you made sure the fins on the radiator are unclogged? Mine was running hot and from a few feet away the radiator looked really clean. After looking really good, all the fins in radiator were clogged bad. After fixing that issue and putting some insulation wrap stuff around the top radiator hose...

Good idea on the sealed lights. I just bought a brand new trailer and used it a few weeks ago to go to northern ohio and of course I drove in nothing but nasty salty wet roads. By the time I got back home two of my front marker lights were ruined internally by the salt. They looked like they had bee...

That's what I was thinking too. I ended up taking some cub cadet off-white and sprayed a spot and it matched the original color on the deck.

Anyone know what's the proper or suggested white color the haban 60" deck should be? I'm restoring one and can't tell if it's the cub cadet off-white or a total different non-cub related shade. thanks

Matt's correct. Here's number 13 and 8 new. They come new without the spherical bushing/bearing. If the bearings were somewhere else when you removed everything, well that's not good.

They must have at least started putting the holes there early in the ccc run. My 782 (708453) has the holes but not the nuts. The 1572 (767003) has the holes and the nuts.

I would think the IH 982 would be close to one of the least made out of the 82 series. I think the demand for something like the 682/782 was greater but that's just a hunch.

Mine doesn't have the disconnect clutch so I can imagine it's a pain with one. That must be why I was able to skip step 7. I bet that'll be nice and smooth when you're done and hopefully you won't have to mess with it again for a long time.

Did you move the engine forward to make things easier? I may have to try that when there's a next time. I've removed the entire driveline twice without messing with the engine. It definitely wasn't fun but did it in about an hour.
