Hey Vince

I think a while back you made a comment on how the CC Quite Line tractor looked like a giant catfish from the front. So I was thinking, that picture of you in the sleeping bag  reminds me of a mermaid...you see where I'm going with this :?: How about I restore a wide frame Quite Line into a w...

All part of the family

If it is an older IH built Cub Cadet I'm all for it. They and we are all part of one big family. I wouldn't think of turning against my 3 brothers or 2 sister because one is fat, one is ugly, one is rich, one is poor, and one is dumb (yes I left myself out of that list). We are blood and that overlo...

Glad you said you got it thru a friend and not from a friend. Can't imagine a friendship lasting long once the PO realized he/she gave it away ;) Seriously, that's a nice "shaker". Those 1650's really get up and go :o :o . And that 16hp is in high demand around my area. Nice way to get over the wint...

I'd get the gasket kit with crank oil seals while your at it. Easy to replace if your doing the governor and well worth it.

Never had that happen.... But I do have one that mows my yard all summer long, without pay and he even buys the gas  . This allows me more time to work on my vast collection of CC's and attend a few shows during the summers. As much as I like running my snow thrower, I'd love to see the green...

Vince Sounds like your learning a lot from working on this project :geek: . I like the way that loader looks on the Cub. I find it good to walk away from a project for short periods of time (a day or so)to keep the fun in it. I gotta ask you, how did you get that guy from American Chopper (Vinnie) t...

Re: For Geezer: Pix of the 69 Fairlane project

WOW!!! That's some nice work. The last car I restored was a 64 GTO with factory Hurst shifter and traction bars. All numbers matched. It was an aqua green or blue. I had 3 or 4 people per week stop by offering to buy it, even when it was in primer. I have some photos somewhere. I did it for ...

Hey Vince :?: Is this your first loader? Looks like that beast will come in handy for a lot of stuff. I've been thinking about one myself. Re: Went to buy wheel weights and got this ...

Not a bad find. How do you attach it to the wheels for weight? I would think you would need two, one for each side :D I once picked up an "Original" that was under a collapsed shed, tires rotted completely off the rims but with a shot of starter fluid and a hot wire jump she started right up. Ended ...

Re: Creeper gear troubles

Haybail I think there are a few guys with reproduction shift handles and I believe that the breather vent is the same as the other (later) creeper units. I had a guy make me three of the step gears (the gears that the shifter moves) since most UD-6's I've seen have had the teeth on the small gear sh...

123 leopard Cub

My 123 is almost done. Got the idea from the "Cub Cadet Circus" they used to promote the "New" hydro transmission on them. I've seen the "Tiger" version and decided to do the "Leopard". All I have to do is add the front face where the grill screen is, a tail, fresh wheels w/hub caps all around and a...

For that kinda starting $$$ I would have thought the white over spray on the tires (from the restoration :?: ) would have been cleaned off. Check out the photos. I can see why only one picture. I think they added an extra 0 by mistake and didn't spell check :ugeek:

I have an old Cub Cadet can. I might think about selling it. It's only been kicked by the wife 2 or 3 times (a week). No advertising on it but I'd ship it free for the right price :lol

With the engine out and no fuel around close, I have used my torpedo heater for a quick thaw (can be done inside or out).
