Re: Workshop and radiant heat

Hey Geezer, I like the set up. I was looking but didn't see the coffee maker??? A garage is a mans castle :D . Anyone have a suggestion for heating my garage? It is dry walled and insulated but I do not have gas. I currently heat it up with a torpedo heater before I start working (if you what to cal...

Re: Car Trouble Question

Gotta give my 2 cents. I know it tight for just about everyone but ya really need to get it fixed. :o Not safe to drive like that. They put sway bars on for a reason. Today's vehicles utilize the sway bar for control. You need all the control you can get with the weather and other drivers. If you we...

Mr. Pepper my friend, You must sit there on that stool for hours to come up with such powerful (golden gem) thoughts. I think we should have a section in which you share a word or two of wisdom each day. On a real holiday note: I will spend some time with the Cubs this evening while the wife...

Re: Might be working

Hey Scott Being a family man and all, I would have a problem with that kind of schedule. Being away so much wouldn't give me any Cub time :( On the other hand, glad your working and like what your doing. I enjoy working on Cubs as a hobby but we gotta pay the bills. It's a BIG plus when you like the...

Re: Trailers

I just had a red Cub Cadet dropped off and the guy used an old U-haul trailer with high bars around the side. I wish I had taken a picture. It looked real sturdy and could haul 3 GT's. He purchased it from them as used. I have a box store brand trailer (to ashamed to show a photo ) that I can ...

Re: This is the coffee shop, so how bout some cake

I like it. A Cub Cadet cake, a wife (that allows this cake in the house, let alone make it) and kids that like CC. This is a home made in heaven. My only suggestion is this, put a snow blade on the front and you won't get that pile up underneath like you did. Is your wife available for counseling :?...

Re: New axel seals on the Originals

I have replaced a bunch of those seals, wish I could find a replacement like the original ones (looks like they had leather inside with a spring). I have always been amazed at the way the "O" axles are held on :geek: I like the fact that you don't have to remove the rear end cover plate to do the jo...

Re: 1650 Fixes/Resto

Hey Diamond Dave C When doing a prep cleaning prior to painting I use a couple of different cleaners to do the job with some ease. I use a petro based de-glosser (not the eviro-friendly stuff) on some areas and for a lighter touch I use a pre-degreaser/de-waxer on other areas. Now for the good stuff...

It's odd seeing Bill sitting on anything besides a Cub Cadet. I can see why he is smiling, nice picture Scott. Bill has helped me many times with good info on my narrow frame and Original Cub Cadet projects.

Hey Scott, is that 5:30am or pm? I don't want to be late

I like that you tube video of the pull. I'd love to see that one at one of the shows plowing a row. What tractor is that on your profile picture on this site? I'm not trying to change the subject (or am I?) but with my short memory I mention things I am interested in before I forget :? :?

That last picture looks a little like an old girlfriend from back.....well, let's just drop it. I run a little model 70 with thrower during the winter but I bet you get a bun...

Looks like a nice 128 ya got. I like that model, somewhat easy to work on. I was wondering about the PTO safety also. I have one with and one without and since I make the wiring harnesses I include the extra wire the the PTO safety. Maybe I should offer a free jump wire for those who do not have the...

One of my 4 digit "O"'s came with the optional front PTO. Can anyone help me find info or a parts diagram on this option? It has the same parts as the photo I have attached along with everything else (pulleys. shield and more). :?:

Mochi looks like he has it made. A great place to stretch his legs and a boat to go with it. It's good to be a dog. My dog Pete has been with us for 14 years now. Still hates the snow.

Re: Dannys new tractor!

Okay, here I go. Whats so special about the red ones. Didn't IH Cub Cadet make them just as they were going bankrupt? I've always heard "if it's red it's dead" and to be right "always go with yellow and white". Okay, so I made that up but to me the yellow and white's what IH started their GT line in...

Re: canopy like big tractors

Speaking of canopies. I had a nice metal enclosed cab on a Cub Cadet 1200 and I always felt like my Cub was going to flip on it's side when I mowed on a slight hill. I thought of adding a set of dual tires to see it that would help but decided to sell the cab. It was the one offered by Cub (not some...

I might have been tempted to buy that starter up for that price...just to have an extra. I rebuilt one of my smaller starters for one of my 800's awhile back and I'm not sure but I think some of the parts interchanged with the electric lift motor (such as brushes, bearings) :?:
