Re: Carb adjustments

I rebuilt the motor, bought a brand new carb, bought a new muffler, I idle it down to about 1200, let it run for several minutes, and mine still does it.

Re: Anybody got a TD to post about?

Some of the TD's had 2 speed steering, pull the clutch levers back to disengage, release them for low speed steering, and lock them all the forward for high speed. Works great when working a slope. You can lock one side in high speed and keep the other in low speed. Your's may be to old to have that...

Well I have spent the last two days replacing the windows the Tornado took out. I'm not much of a wood butcher but it least they slid up and down. Well I changed the Oil in the 129, tightened the bolts on the rear cover, added some Hytrans, gave her a greasing. Replaced the front wheel bearings that went out a few months ago, readjusted the the Hydro linkage, gave it a good washing, and did a test fit with the tire chains. I have the QA42A mou...

Re: NAPA Gold/Wix Hydro Filters

NAPA used to have a display where they cut some oil filters open so you can see the insides. The NAPA filter had the most paper and the best looking anti-drain back valve, even better than the WIX filter. The FRAM was the worst. I don't know if NAPA still does that or not.

Re: Spark plugs and a good ground

I have found some engines just won't run on certain plugs. I worked 8 hours on a Ford 360 just to find out it won't run on resister AC plugs, it ran just fine on Autolite plugs.
