I did my 18 some years back. I didnt have to split the block, as the eng was over heated from mouse nest and wore the rings. I took my jugs off and went .020 over. New rods pistons and rings. Around here its 60 to 80 to have a shop rebuild a starter or a starter generator. Ive got a compleate rebuild from kokler in my pile of nos stuff. Im saving it for hard times

Actually Vince I sold all his cco's to a guy thats keeping them whole. Like Dale said I really didnt want to see them cut up, the whole tractors.
