Re: Cadet 382
Here is mine that Ariel got from her great grandfather, hood was broken off like Jess said but is a decent tractor, not to heavy duty but is a good learning tractor for kids cause its simple and low. She moved on to something bigger for plowing but the 382 still gets out on occasion.

Re: Oil change
I work for a new car dealer(wont start the brand debate)and have for 25 years and have found that for oil changes the quick places screw up more than most others. If its quick they are not using trained technicians. Most car brands have inexpensive oil change packages available that make it as cheap...

Cub Shelter revisited
On black friday I picked up a new cub/hit-n-miss engine storage shelter from tractor supply. I put it up over the weekend and it will work great. After reading the poists on this subject in the fall I started checking these out and Tractor supply put them on sale at $100 off shelter logic 12x20x8.

Re: Cub Cadet haulers?
Jeff nice deal for that trailer but if you plan on going any distance to plowdays make sure the wheel bearings are well packed and get a couple of spare tires to carry. Seems like those little tires can only stand so much highway heat before they blow out.

Re: Any advice on chain saws
I have a stihl 020 dad bought in the 70's and it still cuts good and runs good and has cut its share over the years but i think the big thing is buy it from a dealer not one of the big box stores. I am conviced the quality is sacrificed to have a lower price and they don't offer service. Just my .02

Ken i have had succes by using the broken sharp end of an old ring when an actual cleaner isn't available , but most groove cleaners come as a kit with multiple size cutters and are adjustable to fit alot of piston diameters. Albie

Had a great time at the Fawn Grove Olde Tyme Days fall gas engine and garden tractor show with steve t. and Butch Bankert. Here are a couple of pics of Butch with the 73 he won at Fort Allen plow day. He did a beautiful restoration on this tractor as usual.
