I got a Haban sickle bar at PA Plowday from Engine Mike and finally tried it out today, other than a few adjustments to the tractor and mower it works great

Re: New to me lathe

Vince, the more you do wih it the more you will try, I make tiller pins from round stock all the time and can make them custom lengths by application instead of running to the local ACE and paying their prices. A lathe can be a very good piece of shop equipment with many uses. Nice find!

I have them on my 147 and I love them, and with 10.50s on the rear it looks low and tough. I have had them for a couple years using them for plow days and snow removal and they work great :D

I've used JB on carb parts that stay in gas with no problem and on oil pans with no issues, it just has to fully cure before exposing it to the oil or fuel.

7 1/4, 8 1/4, and 9 1/4 chrysler axles are all rear load with c clip axles. The 8 3/4 is a front load but wouldn'thave any fomoco stampings. I also think the 8 3/4 chrysler is not as long in he pinion area. just my $.02

Jeff I had a 72 Dodge/Coachmen 21 ft. like that with a 360 cid engine and a 3 spd trans. It would only run about 65 but it towed the wifes Intrepid on a dolly without any problems. I had an od trans under my bench to rebuild for it but we upgraded to a bigger coach before i got to it. We haven't had...

Randy that looks like a previous owner modification just by the different coloring around the neck where it it attatched to the tank. The old cap probablt was worm or gasketless and kept falling off so what looks like the lid and neck from a safety can is soldered on. And welcome to the forum there ...

Re: Gonna try this at plow day next week end

Vince I had one of those ballburners and plowed my garden with it for several years before I had a Cub set up to do it and it worked very good. The only weight I had on mine was 1 gallon of antifreeze in each front tire. I was always amazed how well it did for 4 horsepower.

Todd Ariel just got a new Dell and my wife got an HP last year and both have Windows 7 loaded and it is much easier than vista. It seams they took what was good from vista and blended it with XP and didn't do a bad job.

Re: Removing a steering wheel on a 1650

you need that cool puller that Joe Motuzick and Dave Chester had at last years plow days, it works slick and doesn't damage the wheel. I got one and used it on an Original at Steve T's that was very rusted, just tightened it up and smacked it with a hammer and it was off in under 5 minutes.
