Re: IH Cub Cadet lawn sweepers

I did a little more research and it is made by Parker. I just picked one up yesterday and it is an IH #2. I was able to download the manual on the forum here. Looking at the various Parker models it looks like the closest is either a TE7036 or a TE7636. It is in pretty good shape and it works pretty...

IH Cub Cadet lawn sweepers

Who made the lawn sweepers that were labeled International? I was thinking I heard one time they were made by
Parker, but I don't remember for sure. Maybe Ohio steel may have made them as well. Anyone know for sure? How about parts availability?

Re: 1772 vibration

I know on mine it vibrates more at certain RPMs. It vibrates pretty good at idle but at about 1/4 throttle it smooths right out. As mentioned, the spherical bushing at each end get worn and can allow the shaft to whip rather than spin. Does the shaft appear to spin true when running?

I clean them up really good then rough them up with 80 grit sandpaper. I use red (high strength) thread locker to hold them in.
If I need to replace the tube, 1-1/2" exhaust pipe works great.

+1 more on the Ruegg. My cousin put one of the Ruegg hitches on his 1782 and he is very happy with it. I looked at it and I couldn't tell it from a factory one.

Re: Ag tire question

The Firestone floatation 23 from ME Miller tire are the best looking ag bar tire in my opinion. The only 3 rib you will find are 16-6.50x8 but they are very tall and look pretty good on a super. My dad has them on his 2072. But they won't fit your rims. You could also go with the Vredestein 5 ribs i...

102 stock class puller

This has been about a 3 year project. My son wanted a pulling tractor of his own to go with my two and that he could pull in the 14 hp youth class. Since I demanded that he be fully involved with the project and actually help and learn is why it took so long to build. tearing him away from the TV an...

Re: Kohler magnum 20 exploration

I would suggest you go to Kohler's website and download the service manual (for free) then read through it carefully to decide if it is something you would like to tackle. I have rebuilt dozens of K-series singles and several opposed and V-twins along with a few Briggs engines (not to mention severa...

Re: Brinly early plow need pics

I did some more digging and I did find the dimensions on the stabilzer plates. I did some net searching and it looks like the early plows only had the Brinly decal on the land side (left) of the beam and just had the serial number decal on the furrow side (right) of the beam. Looks like the upright ...

Guys, I'm looking for pics of original (unrestored) single hole Brinly plows. I thought I took pics of mine before I tore it apart but I can't seem to find them. I also thought I had some pics collectted and saved from the forums but I can't seem to find them either. I must be missing a cd or someth...

Brinly implent restoration and decal sources

I'm finally getting back to working on my Brinly one hole plow and sleeve hitch dump cart. I tore them apart several years ago and cleaned them using electrolysis and epoxy primed them. I also filled some rust pits and some of the parts are ready paint. So I'm starting to think about decals. I found...

If someone had a parts catalog from just after the 1X4/5 came out, that may tell the story since the rear panel would have been changed to one with the screw inserts for the oval light.

Re: Rear rim question on "O"s ?

Just some random observations about wheels; Some of the rims I have seen have date codes stamped into them. That may help figure things out. I've never had any from an Original though. A lot of the wheels I have seen are stamped "EWC" for Electric Wheel Co. I think EWC was swallowed up by Titan or F...

Ken,
I already had the holes in the fender (I assume they were there from factory since both fenders have them).

I had always assumed that that style light came with the 1X4 series.

Re: 102 light installation

Apparently they must have chaged the hole size in the bracket from the 70/100 to the 1X2/3 series. Kind of sucks because I made the bracket new using the one from my 100 as a pattern. If I had looked at the 102 fender I could have drilled the hole in the smaller size. Oh well, stuff happens. I'll ju...

Re: 102 light installation

The rear light bracket has 2 holes that line up with the holes in the fender. One hole is 1/4" the other is 1/2". Both holes in the fender are 1/4". I was wondering if they used a flat washer on the bigger hole. Or did the bracket for the 1X2/3 have two 1/4" holes? I have the bracket from a 100. The...

My Dad recently aquired a #2 tiller and we are working on putting it on my 1450. I haven't fooled with tillers very much. The gearbox had no plug so we cleaned it out and repacked it with grease. We used an aftermarket A-144 belt and it seems to work ok. We just got everything together today and hav...

We had a brand new Super come into the dealership back in the late 80s that had mismatched tires like that. They were the Goodyear Softracs and one was about 3" taller than the other with the same air pressure. I probably have a photo of it somewhere.

Re: What does carburetor solenoid do?

It is correc that engines with the solenoid should be shut down at half throttle. I will add that you still want to throttle the engine down to idle for a minute or so to cool it off, then increase to half throttle before shutting the ignition off.

Re: NF blue seat trim opinions/answer

I'd say the 3rd ebay link is probably the closest. But it even looks a little dark to me. Mcmaster Carr carries a pretty good selection of the stuff but I don't think they have colors. They may have the clips. When I refurbished my 102 seat I used ford grabber blue to paint the metal band. It is ver...
