Forum Admin Change

Hi folks.
I'm still alive, busy!
I have expressed to the moderators a while ago that I am too busy to properly admin this site.
Not in a bad way, I'm digging my work, playing with tractors, the truck, the grandson and have a granddaughter due in a couple days.
That bein' said I have not been able to give due diligence to the site. I haven't been backing up like I should or anything else for that matter.
The site needs a better admin to keep it going and help it to get better.

I suggest you folks getting together on this topic and discussing who the new admin should be, although I think Dave is an outstanding choice!
The site needs more active moderators too.

I don't plan on going anywhere and will still own the site but will turn the reigns over to the new admin to make changes as they see fit.
I want to act in a moderator role only.
I hate to see the site get in a rut, that can't happen. This is a great bunch of folks and as far as forums go, this has to be one of the best hobby sites there is (of course I'm a little prejudiced there).

I would say changes could be made in a lot of places to make it more appealing and user friendly.
But, it will remain free and ad free.

I want to start getting back on here but not in a work way. I'm feeling guilty anymore when I log in and see that I haven't done anything in years to update or change anything. I have enjoyed my time here as admin and going back to Mark as his right hand guy when we got the IH Registry up and running. All I want to do now is hand the work part off to someone more capable, creative and wants to boost the presence of the site. Getting lazy in my old age I guess....

I've let it be known that I won't back seat admin (unless someone decided to go with a pink background or something).
I can't believe we still get new members every day!

Well, chew on this for a while folks and lets see what happens

Thank you all so much for making this a great place.

Scott,
So good to hear from you. I thought you had wandered off to other interests like some others. I always enjoyed your posts. I can understand your situation. I have six grandchildren and they can keep you busy. As grandparents we have an obligation to spoil them :-), but on a serious note we do have a duty to be a part of their growing up in a positive way. I recently retired and I am so busy taking care of things around the house, restoring some Rototillers, visiting our sons and their families, etc. So, do post from time to time and have fun with all the things you mentioned. I think Dave would be a great one to pass the baton to.

Scott - Thanks for all you have done to keep us together here on a forum! Without a doubt, Dave is the guy to keep us chugging along.

Although you won't be doing the admin stuff, please make sure you stay part of this forum that you have made happen. Go back to enjoying the tractors and being part of the forum, rather than stressing over running it.

Take care, Tom
