The fella I got it from says its a 52 model.....I dont know yet...havent even had time too look at the serial no. but the tag is on the tractor.

Need's:
The right seat!

Everything runs perfectly and quiet and smooth.
Everything works as it should.

I am going too install a new wiring harness as the old one has some age issues......
I will also add new plugs and wires and tune things up a bit.
A change of all the oil and fluid levels will be in order also.

Then there is the "wants".....like:
Rear wheel weights....
Front wheel weights...
Correct colors.....
New decals......
Rear lift arms.....
Step......
Proper fuel cap.....
And a few other little things too bring it up too specs.

Tony,
As far as I know Navistar is still running the fuel cap recall deal so you should be able to get that for free.

Hey Tim....
This one kinda fell into my lap from the sky.....didnt come with any tachments so I'll hafta start scavenger'n fer those!

I know they have the drawbar mounted plows but would be better off too find the quick hitch for the back of the tractor and use the implements for that?
I hate too buy two diffent types of equipment for the same tractor. I've never fooled with these much so I'm not sure what I'm doing yet.

I know that I'm going too be using the tractor too culitvate rows at the farm with....that's the main reason I bought it....but I also want too plow dad's gardens with it because he sold the massey last year so now he's without a tractor......I have the M's but this will be much easier too haul around.

Also.....once I plow, then I'm going too need too disc up the ground......did they make a good disc for this little fella ?

Well....I've got a chance too give the lil cub a going over.....

Serial numbers confirm its a 52 model.
Its missing a few original items that I'll hafta get but that shouldnt be too hard.
Got several leads on a few parts tractors local so hopefully we can find one with all the options we're looking for.

If you buy a fast hitch (single point quick hitch), make sure it is for a Cub and not a Lo-Boy (offset Lo-Boy not a numbered Lo-Boy) because there is some difference.

Mr. Mayor

There is a cub fast hitch for sale $325 on the Farmall Cub site. That is a good price I had to pay $350 for one for a lo-boy.

HAPPY NEW ONE

Hey Tony that should be a nice little unit when your done. We also acquired a new addition last month as well. Came with a 42" Kub Klipper belly mower and a snowblade that has little to no wear on it. It has to be one of the smoothest running little tractors I've ever driven. It needs a little help with the hood at the front next to the one light and mechanical wise is it makes a clicking sound in 2nd gear. Gotta pop the shift cover off and take a looks see, none of the other gears make noise.

Good looking tractor Tony - I see lots of potential there. On adding fast hitch, I had it for several years on my '49 and really liked it. Everything bolted up just fine and it was the late style with the crank depth adjuster. There are still brand new implements available from mfg's like Leinbach in Winston-Salem NC. The only thing I would do different is to use the later style rockshaft with the provision for the helper spring. I am not sure what year that change was made but it helps with heavier implements to prevent heavy shocks to the touch control system.

I am currently back to the standard drawbar and am using the early grading leveling blade for snow removal (what little we get in NC).

Finally got around too workin on the F Cub....she now has a new tranny, new finals, new wheels on back, and lots of other new stuff.
I started this morning with a running tractor and by 10 all we had was the torque tube forward......tranny and all rearend was all pulled....out with the old, in with the new.

Now I dont have any "not sposed ta be der" noises in the rear and she's nice and quiet in all gears.

I got a set of double plows for it yesterday and will have those bolted on tomorrow.....they have a left and right plow...ones up an the others down and vice versa......you can plow both ways while turning the dirt the same way all the time! Pretty cool.
