Uploaded a couple more videos of my last pull a few weeks ago;

I think I'm getting it sorted out now. Still lots of variables to work with though.

Made 36 pounds of boost!

Your pulls look a lot better than when you started posting. I'm sure there is more to it than dumping the clutch and driving down the path :lol:

It does look like fun 8-)

Had my first pull in actual competition last Friday at the Keystone Nationals in Harrisburg. Here is a video of the whole class of 5 tractors;
http://www.youtube.com/user/farmallgray?feature=mhum

As you can see, I was the lone Cub Cadet (although the green ones are all Cubs with different sheetmetal anyway).

I think I held my own and I'm pretty sure I ended up third. I haven't heard the official results yet.

Added a diesel Tiny Tach. We'll see how it works this weekend.

Here is a video of the pull last weekend;
http://www.youtube.com/user/farmallgray ... dMG503f-oY

I had a pull yesterday but couldn't find anyone to run the camera. The tach worked pretty well and recorded about 4600 max rpms in both hooks.
Still need to do some work to run with the 3 cyl Geo powered tractors. They are kicking my butt.

No I didn't have any problems. Are you building a puller?

I thought you were going out in a Cloud of Dust, HI HO Silver. How did you do in those pulls :?:
That diesel don't seem to be working that hard. Was the last track hard to get a grip :?:

Those runs were all for exhibition. There wasn't anyone for me to run against.

It was working it some. There was actually a lot of bite in the track on the last two. That was why I had trouble keeping the front end down. I had all my movable weight on the front and could have maybe used a little more.

They are Astro go cart wheels. I think that style are only made in 5" and 6". If you do a google search for go cart wheels you should be able to find them pretty easy.
