Aluminum 3 speed rear question

Post by rickyn »

I just bought a cub 582 with an all aluminum 3 speed manual rear and was wondering if this rear would be any good for pulling and also what is the approximate value of a rear like this Thanks Ricky

It would probably be ok for the stock classes. They are a pain to work on if you wanted to put in aftermarket gears though.

The axles and diff carrier are what the pullers want from them. They are the same from gear drives or hydro. The rest of the trans isn't of much value. You can probably sell the axles and carrier for $75 to $100 or maybe more if you put it on ebay. If you piece it out like that I would be interested in the pinion.
