Hi all,
I am building a stock tractor for pulling things around the yard and having fun in the small local stock pulling association. The latter has a Red Neck class where anything goes. Several stock pullers simply add weights and pull again in that class.
I don't plan on putting a front PTO clutch, so it dawned on me that perhaps having an easily installed/removed solid steel disc/flywheel on the front shaft might be just as good, if not better, than adding weights elsewhere on the tractor...?
A thought that crossed my mind as I am assembling a K321.
Cheers,
replace front PTO clutch with flywheel

Re: replace front PTO clutch with flywheel
I now realize that with a starter-generator, this idea becomes a lot harder to accomplish...
Can install the starting pulley (with basket) and that might leave enough room for a solid disk on front. Might not be an easy proposition to make it an easy 'put on-take off' activity though.
Not there yet; just thinking ahead...
