Diesel puller finally painted

Post by Farmallgray »

It took 4 years after I first got it together and running, but it's finally painted. See my other thread below to see what it looked like
before with yellow and white and rust.

It started out as an 1806. The engine is a 3 cylinder D-1105 Kubota (1100cc) with a Garrett GT20 turbo.

The model "1582" is fictional. Kind of a cross between a 582 and a 1512. They also made the 1282 so the 4 digit 82 series number is plausable. The paint and graphics are as if the Cub Cadets were painted to match the 88 series farm tractors.

Wow...

You must be able to pull a huge rotary mower with that, and cut grass in record time ! ;)

Looking forward to pulling videos.

Cheers,

Hi Todd, looking good, really finished now. Are you going to Columbus (Springfield) this year to pull? Mike

Sorry for the late reply. I did pull at Springfield and actually won both classes. Friday by 8' and saturday by less than a foot. So I guess I can say it runs as good as it looks.

The rearend is a collection of parts. The housing and front reduction are from an Original. The Axles and housings and diff carrier are from a Cyclops. The rest of the internals are all aftermarket.

Todd - That looks real nice! I especially like the belt line Cub decals.

It looks like you opened up the side panels as a scoop, but closed off the grill. Just curious of how you have it set up. Might need some under the hood pics on here! ;)

Congrats Todd!
Very nicely built tractor and it looks like you know a thing or two about pulling.
