I was able to stop by the show and got to meet Albie. Very nice to meet him, and he has some neat hit & miss engines he had on display and running.

Here is Albie's and his show neighbor's line of hit and miss engines. There were quite a few at the show, some operating pumps, fans, etc.:

And a real nice row of restored IH Cubs:

They were getting ready to start the tractor pulling when I left, so tempting to grab 2182-1 and hook it up, but maybe next year. Gotta get outside now and make more wood...seems like it is all I do for half the summer...

Thanks for the pics Tom glad you had a good time. It was great to meet you and yes you would have had fun pulling here. My 147 weighed in at 1380 pounds and pulled as good as a 430 Deere.

Your 147 sounds pretty heavy....what on earth do u have for weight? Hit and miss r so cool.....at a family reunion we had a guy come to make ice cream and it was powerd by a hit and mis on a neat old cart/wagon. Dave

Dave the 147 has loaded rear tires with weights that are at least 75# plus my big but. Usually around 1425 but I didn't have on my front weight for plowing. Next mission is to get Tom to bring one to this show next year...he could almost drive one there
