I believe Jess can help you with the changes to reverse the input direction of the hydro.

Re: spinning a hydro backwards
He will have to make 2 changes if he wants the hydro controls to operate correctly.
1st - he has to turn the hydro input pump 180 degrees . That involves just removing the two bolts in the pump and making sure that the O ring seal is straight when reinstalled . Thats the easy part .
2nd - he will have to flip the carrier in the rear end , if he doesn't the control will work the opposite of the way the handle is pushed .
Pushing the handle forward will make it go backwards , pulling it backwards will make it go forward . BTDT.
I'm assuming of course that it has a cub hydro rearend in it .

I see a lot of cub cadets while going down the tracks , its a shame I can't pull over and ask about them .

Jess, Did you notice that your hydro was louder when you reversed it?

Jess...I knew you had the answers....LOL
I had you stuff copied but when my puter crashed, I lost that stuff...
Every Hydro has its own distinct characteristics....whinning is the most obvious. Some of mine are whiners and others are rather quiet...
