my left overs

Here's where you can post your Cub Cadet based specials. Actually, if it's cool and not Cub based, post it anyway!

i wanted to convert it to a 100 while still using the 102 grill and then have some fun

Chris , i find it easier to understand what a person is making when they have pictures . When you started to explain that you were using parts off a 100 - 122 - 124 etc , I was having trouble seeing it in my mind .
An all steel wheel tricycle cub .....Cool
Keep us updated on your project , we like pictures . :D
I see a lot of cub cadets while going down the tracks , its a shame I can't pull over and ask about them .

Very cool project!
Make sure you add cleats to the rears so you get plenty of traction when you plow with it 8-)
Did you have the rings rolled or is it tube of some sort?

The first pics show a 102 frame, grill and hood and the new ones with the back wheels mounted show a 100 frame and hood with a 102 grill. Are you building two or just trying to figure which style looks best?

that is still the 102 grill and frame ( i cut off the old tunnel and changed it to a short tunel to be like a 100 frame) am using the 100 dash and probably the 102 hood so it will matchup better on the grill

i have a spare 100 hood so i put it on just to try that out
all just 1 tractor still

1/4"x 4" flat plate slip rolled to around 24" for the rears

the inside center og the the rear rims are 6" dia pipe
wheel flange is 3/8" steel

spokes are 1/2"

fronts are 10" diameter pipe 4" wide (but i think i am going to trime the width up some
front hubs are 1-1/2 pipe with bearings to go on to 3/4" round for the axle
front spokes are 1/2"
let em know if you need more info

Chris,it appears you live in a sub division.Do your neighbors drive/walk by and look at you funny for building "goofy lawn mowers"?
That's going to be a very cool Cub when you are done.

Most of my neighbors(and most anyone that knows me) look at me funny too.
All I have to say is if you don't like the way my yard looks you are more than welcome to pay the mortage and taxes

One thing I wondered was how did you go about laying out the spokes?
The other thing that crossed my mind was how cool it would be to roll angle for front rims and mount the in a V pattern like some of the old steelys were.

I layed out the spokes on a piece if plywood divided out to 12 places I staggered the pattern
