Homemade Transmission Fan for 782d and 1512

Post by kwright782 »

The plastic fans do not hold up for very long, so I decided to make some out of steel this weekend. Made one for my Cub Cadet 1512 and one for my 782d. Should end the problem with replacing the fan every year. Also I replaced the Rubber Rag joint by the motor with a U-Joint. So much better than before. Fans are 7" Diameter and cut on my CNC Plasma Cutter. Bent the pitch of the blades while mounted in Lathe. Made a fixture, to mount in tool post holder of the lathe, to keep the blades the same angle.
