3M Carbon Fiber
Not only vintage cubs are my passion but I enjoy custom work w/my trusty Ruger 10-22 carbine rifles. I built this for my dad...I found a nice 1:9" twist 18" tapper barrel, lightened the bolt/charging action to cycle the newly returned .22 L CB @ 710 fps, super subsonic if you will. Trigger work : hammer breaks like glass @ 2 1/2 lb pull...sweet for the old man to shoot. Using 1" tube material a tooled washer for the muzzle it slides over the tapper barrel giving it a "light" bull barrel look. Tube is covered w/3M di loc silver carbon fiber tape. I did have to channel the stock so the barrel would fit. Still waiting for some optics to go on the rifle. Other pieces I had left over from recent projects I put to good use...black carbon fiber detail to a Knoxx Axiom gun stock...and had the silver left over which I used to cover a rusty chrome, later painted yellow lift handle on our 1250 CC.
